Representing team indie is another young producer from the hotbed that is Israel, Millero. Although he only has a few releases to his name he already counts the likes of Solomun, Âme, Lehar and Hernan Cattaneo amongst his supporters, and has a Beatport Top 10 under his belt. It’s been a stellar start to what promises to be a stellar career. “'French On Acid' is a track with psychedelic acid vibes. It starts with the insane vocals that get you into the mood and then, the acid lead kicks-in. When combined together they hopefully take you to another planet!”

About the release
DJ Zombi has been around for decades and with this EP proves he's continuing to be at the forefront for a very long time! He's the driving force behind the established Tel Aviv based label; Beat Boutique. As a producer he's known for his unique take on progressive house. 'Let It Go' is collaboration between DJ Zombi & percussion hero Nadav Dagon, which ended up in a warm, dreamy, organic / progressive house record where layers of mysterious pads, iconic synths and enigmatic arpeggios are accompanied by traditional percussion and a big and full low-end. It's 100% made for these hot summer open airs! Fellow countryman, Millero, took this single into a more driving, clubby direction adding a groovy bassline without staying far from the original.

To say Roy Miller - AKA Millero - is hot right now would be an understatement. In the space of just 2 short years (so, much of it during the pandemic), he’s cut a swathe through the indie and melodic techno scene from his HQ in Israel, a country that is arguably at the forefront of electronic music right now and, as a result, a competitive hotbed. He is a genuine case of talent shining through an already bright landscape.

With the Old Friend EP, he presents 3 tracks that further establish him as a future force, not just at home, but around the world. “As an EP the tracks share the common theme of having been produced with the dance floor in mind,” he explains, “they’re all very ‘me’ I guess, yet, despite these common threads, each has its own significance and identity.”

Title track Old Friend is perhaps the purest in terms of the ‘Millero sound’, with its bassline groove, infectious mid and catchy vocal. “I’ve been playing it out a lot and when the big drop comes toward the end, the crowds have been going crazy,” he proudly enthuses.

Twisted Mind brings a touch of indie-acid to the party to do ‘what it says on the tin’; if anyone’s mind isn’t a beautifully twisted mess after spinning this, they may need to section themselves. Yet it’s Yeled Gadol that saves the most personal message, as Roy explains, “The title is a reference to myself - it means ‘big kid’! Although I’m obviously not a kid anymore, and my productions have certainly grown-up. As a track it’s full of emotion and wonder; I really tried to capture my past and present-day-self in a dancefloor snapshot.”

This reinterpretation of Depeche Mode's world hit "People are People" is MARHOLZ's first-ever edit in his relatively early career as a producer. With its positive, energetic groove, the track is perfect for putting the icing on the cake of DJ sets and getting the crowd singing along. Having just moved to Berlin, MARHOLZ enjoys experimenting with the indie dance genre while using 80s-influenced sounds and drums. Many more edits and own projects are in the starting blocks and are often accompanied by electric guitars and vocals. The release on Feinstoff is also emblematic of MARHOLZ Dj sets, which he likes to fill with positive energy and groovy basslines.

"It's almost that time of the year again: October, which means another edition of the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) is around the corner. And of course Chrom is more than ready for it with our annual ADE Sampler ànd a 2-days label showcase on Friday ànd Saturday!

On our ADE2023 release called "Amsterdam 2023" we present 10 brand-new exclusive tracks, covering the full spectrum from Progressive House and Indie Dance to Melodic House & Techno. Of course we have many Chrom core members on board for this important release: our own label manager Pedro Mercado, Fernando Lagreca, AMARE, Qarrassa, and Yves Eaux teaming up with Nick Vale.
