Helsinkiläisen Rajalla-bändin perustivat syksyllä 2011 Pete Niemistö, Marko Niemistö, Arto Rikkonen ja Janne Soivio tarkoituksena soittaa thrash-painotteista metallia suomenkielisillä vokaaleilla. Marraskuussa -11 mukaan liittyi laulaja Jukka Tarvainen.
Basisti Marko joutui pian lopettamaan bändissä henkilökohtaisten kiireiden takia jolloin toisena kitaristina toiminut Janne siirtyi soittamaan bassoa. Jukka alkoi laulun ohella myöhemmin soittamaan toista kitaraa. Bändin debyyttidemo "DEMO" julkaistiin keväällä 2013. Äänityksestä, miksauksesta ja masteroinnista vastasi Jaakko "Eksu" Eskelinen.

A four headed thrash metal monster born in the frozen sewers of backstreet Helsinki 
"9/10 Global Metal Apocalypse"

Rajalla was formed in Helsinki in 2011. The band plays thrash metal and they sing in Finnish, combining modern metal influences with Old School Thrash. The 3 song debut demo was released in April 2013 and the second demo labelled “2” was released in December 2013. Both demos were recorded, mixed and mastered by Jaakko Eskelinen.
