Growing up in the deep south of Germany with multi ethnic friends and big interest in many different music genres of the world, Borrowed Identity built his wide knowledge in music. This variety in his musical taste is also the reason why he is working under different aliases producing a big variety of sound from ambient to house to experimental music and everything inbetween. Borrowed Identity debut EP on Quintessentials is another great example for his multistyle approach to music. You’ll find elements of house, disco, techno, ambient and more – always with an imminent love for music. Borrowed Identity released his first 12” inc. a Mark E remix on Foul&Sunk last year. That was just the start of an impressive career we dare to say. Borrowed Identity is a music freak and works very fast on tracks. Guy Gerber's Supplement Facts, Traveller Records (Finland), the Legendary Sound Research, Stripped & Chewed (Chicago), Catz N Dogz Pets Recordings and soon Mistress all released some splendid Borrowed Identity tunes. Catz ‘n Dogz ready the next 12” on their vinyl only PETS raw and refined offshoot - STEP. This comes in the follow up to records from A1 Bassline, Eduardo De La Calle, Andre Kronert and the label owners themselves and marks the return Das Komplex who offers up his ‘All For Love’ LP.

Hailing from Koszalin in Poland, Das Komplex is undoubtedly an artist of many talents - a full time Architect by trade, he has released material on Father And Son Records and Tapes label and also offered up the extolled and coveted 6th pressing on the STEP imprint back in August 2015 - a record that sold out rapidly after hitting the shelves. Now - his return marks the first foray into long-play format for STEP and allows Das Komplex to stretch his legs across 8 masterful Disco grooves.

Dżem kicks things off to a sunny start with sizzling guitar licks and softly pattering bongos before the slick Italo-tinged ‘Obelisk’ and the richly atmospheric ‘Redukcja Dysonansu Poznawczego’ follow up. The project spreads out towards the jubilant and dreamy ‘All For Love’ which leads into ‘Brukiew’ - an introverted but ultimately feel-good conclusion that wraps up a beautifully balmy collection and another coup for STEP.
