 London based producer and hard-hitting Bristol sub maestro, Indent, has been producing for 7 years and DJ'ing for even longer, rolling onto the commercial release scene with Holding Hands Records earlier in the year. Indent received deserved recognition when Desert Sound Colony picked him for a two-track digital release; Brad submitted his track 'Falling' to a live remix session on YouTube, and whilst originally not intending to release commercially, the concept ended up being too strong not to.'

"No Flowers" is a collaboration between two young Melbourne-born artists and friends, RAKHI and RUBY-SOFIA. Produced by RAKHI, the beat is inspired by UK Drill, Jazz, Neo-Soul, R&B and electronic music. It was born out of a melody composed on piano and a sample of birds recorded on a walk during a Melbourne lockdown. RUBY-SOFIA loved the beat, adding vocal melodies and lyrics which bring depth, passion and poetry. You will love this track if you like buttery female vocals on a hard and melodic beat.

Deep sub bass, euphoric pads and textural recordings swell underneath, brought to life by powerful drums, chopped breaks and sparkly percussion. Leaning in on his authoritative take on the dubwise soundsystem tradition, Dubrunner kicks off 2023 with a heavyweight four-track salvo on his own Menace label. Building on the seismic impact of his Spirit / Pursuit drop for Jamz Supernova’s Future Bounce label in 2022, Dubrunner’s honed and upfront sound draws on the best qualities of deep-rooted UK steppas, breakbeat and modern bass music.

The Ruthless EP kicks off with the militant stomp of the Iration-nodding title-track, paying homage to the great tradition of UK soundsystem music while giving the sound a modernist slant. The deadly roll and acidic uneasiness of ‘Nemesis’ follows in a deft fusion of breaks groove and atmospheric sound design. Linking up with Sourpuss for ‘Ruff’, Dubrunner explores the crooked 4/4 structure of UK Funky and the shimmering textures of dub techno for a heads-down, immersive workout. Demonstrating the ease with which he flexes across styles, ‘Goes To Outlaws Once’ finds Dubrunner slipping into the low-tempo, chugging headspace you’ll typically hear pumping out at iconic Leeds party spot the Outlaws Yacht Club.
