Had 3 hours to prepare a set due to a last minute decision to throw this gig to introduce a Fred Again Tribute Set with some Tech/Bass House and got told I was following a Korean Hip Hop night... then upon arriving to the venue got told the usual crowd would all leave within 30 seconds once their headliner finished. and even their Headliner was like "Are you seriously going to play Skrillex?". Well yes Mr Korean man, i never thought i'd see the day either, but here we are...

...and guess who kept the motherfkn party goooooin?

I'd never even heard of Fred Again until this ridiculous chaos Melbourne just witnessed, but I'm glad this all influenced this one of a kind gig. - My proudest set yet.

Burning Seed March '23

Sickest House was on fire, more figuratively than literally, but the house was burning down each night for what was a weekend of extremely symbolic practices of shedding our skin.

The ceremonial burn was cancelled due to Fire Restrictions and we were aching for it.

The night of Purge between burns was emotional in different ways for everyone. Some found love, others daunted in hate. The vibrations on the paddock were tilted at an unprecedented shift.

The ceremonial Temple Burn was approaching and the paddock was anticipating the release of their built up energy. The space that was chosen by the organisation of Burning Seed was Sickest House.

This set that you've found here is that set. The kick off from complete silence on the paddock for the Temple Ceremony to conclude and be introduced back into the final purge was a set from Rakish.

A blissful transition from silence to Psy-Tech, then an unburial beneath the rug in front of the mantle of Treasure that the Pirates of Loose Ends had found! Treasures of Port, Rum, XXXX Gold, Fruits, Snacks and of course GOLD. The transition of Genres from Techno to BASS/Metal is the keypoint of this show, captivating the audience to their fully satisfied potential.

I hope you enjoy and can relive this experience. This set was nothing shy of a beautiful honour to host.

Recorded live at The Collective Delusions Launch party.
- We had just come from tearing down and loading out a party we had thrown during the day. Not to mention, after a huge night that Twisted Audio had just hosted for their 10th Anniversary.
So, i was coming in off 2 hours sleep inbetween 40 hours, load in load out with 2 mangled parties in between. 
Albie says that the venue has asked them to stay open for another hour, so he's asked if i wanted to play that last hour.  
I didn't want to say i didn't have the oomph to do it, and the vibe with the stage on their efforts, there was no denying that offer.  But as a disclaimer, i said, yo, but if something is off with what i'm doing, you let me know ok?

I had planned for a bass house set at our party that day, so i wasn't even sure what i had in my pockets to chase up some A grade dark techno that was gracing the stage as is. But fkn, nah we got this.
CDJ900's with a Xone, which i'd never used A&H before, so fk me right.
Did the whole fkn set with the decay on channel 1, thinking i was just fkn tripping the whole time. Until the last track as i'm turning it all off, i realised, oh wait, what's this fkn green light? 
Honestly though, who the fuck leaves their set and doesn't reset the mixer?

Oh yeah, and there was a USB malfunction as i was bringing up the DJ FIXX track, so the mix there is super messy to compensate the layover of shitty post production. 

Anyway, all that being said, i don't think i've ever had such a response from a crowd in my life. ..I don't think there was anything more pleasing than to get that from everything that made this set come together. Honestly. One of my all time faves and i was lucky enough to record it properly.
