Remixing as a way to come back to reality, from the world of TikToks and Reels that we consume to escape our own!

Focusing on a tiny fraction of a song over and over doesn’t feel right, does it?

I need to know how the phrase ends!
I need to hear where those four notes go!

These snippets of full songs feel like never-ending teases, keeping us hooked and craving for more.
We want to listen to the entire track, but we fail to do so cause a single swipe down is always easier for our attention span.

So, in an effort to regain my sanity and finally "swat the fly" buzzing around my head, I decided to create this EP.

My mum said she’d sit with me next to the speaker when I was in her stomach, i guess you could say that’s where my love for music began. I was fortunate to be surrounded by hiphop, rnb growing up ,waking up on Sunday to mums new cds she’d bought to add to her collection, Waking up on Sundays to Erykah Badu or Jill Scott made cleaning the house therapeutic.  

 I vividly remember holding a CD player in one hand, delicately ensuring it didn't jump or scratch the disc.

The sensation of a CD skipping or jumping was equivalent to the sound of nails on a chalkboard, a jarring interruption to the beautiful melodies flowing through my ears.

My sound is raw and like a painting, it gets more beautiful the more I paint.
