Miki Beach camp at burning man was the place for many good tunes , here is our Miami resident Philip Chedid on Wednesday sunrise. 


His passion for electronic music naturally progressed over the years, in the early days listening to the work of renowned DJs such as Oakenfold, Hernan Cattaneo, Sasha, Timo Maas, Ralph Emerson, Nick Warren, John Digweed, Sebo K, Save Seaman and Carl Cox. During his teenage years, Philip was an avid percussionist and drummer in various bands with his brother Julian and took on musical acts under the band name Elemental. While spending his holidays in Montreal, Philip was exposed to Montreal Dance players like 514 Productions, Sona and Red Lite Afterhours. Over the years, he began working more frequently in the studio on original productions and remixes, and further developed his sound engineering skills.

After finishing his university, Philip moved to Miami in 2005 and studied law. While in law school, Philip sought much production tutoring from international DJ and Producer Max Graham, owner of Rebrand Records out of Montreal. In 2010, Philip moved to the Netherlands after graduating law school and earned an LLM from Leiden. While living in Holland, Philip promoted his sound at festivals like the Amsterdam Dance Event and Tomorrowland. 

After Leiden, Philip returned to the states and continued music production. While in Miami Philip had the opportunity to play in distinguished clubs longtime distinguished clubs like Vagabond and Nikki and enjoyed residencies at TSL Lounge, Treehouse, Do Not Sit on the Furniture, among others. Chedid performed with some of the worlds most celebrated artists from all dance music genres, such as Nick Warren, Jody Wisternoff, Dave Seaman, Eelke Kleijn, Marc Marzenit, Guy Mantzur, Sahar Z, Darin Epsilon, Clarian, Einmusik, Omid 16B, Thomas Schumacher, H-Foundation, Vanilla Ace, Jody Wisternoff, Danny Howells, and Matt Tolfrey, Miyagi, Jozif, Of Norway, Mikey Lion, Tara Brooks, Flavio Navarro, Zach Walker, Jonathan Will, Derek Hena, Aninha, among others.

In the Spring of 2014, Philip released "Remaindermen" on Sound Avenue's "We are the Future" spring compilation. His Spring 2015 Bayti EP on Crossfade sounds received solid support and recommendations from Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, among others.

Originally from Beirut, Lebanon, a beautiful yet chaotic city. The cultural experiences have inspired his music adding more layers and depth to the outcome of his work as a DJ and producer.

For years he has steadily cultivated a strong identity and sound playing between the hottest clubs of Beirut and Dubai.

His passion for music got him involved in nightlife events where he and a few partners hosted some of Dubai’s most successful underground parties.

Rami continues to expand his talent and is currently exploring with production.
