Safar Fairouz combines the captivating voice of Lebanese icon Fairouz in an hour long mix filled with versatile percussions, deep melodies, and powerful vocals.

Growing up in some of the country’s turbulent times, the memories I’ve recounted are almost never about the major events but mostly their impact on the daily experiences, relationships and interactions.

Exploring the difficult stories of the day to day lives and experiences in Lebanon through house music, this mix is inspired by the 1967 movie Safar Barlik starring Fairouz.

Throughout, conversations portray the struggles of a Lebanese villager searching for her fiancé who was taken for Ottoman mobilization during WWI.
