JUST2 returns to Solid Grooves Raw as he serves up his new single 'Wasted'.

A familiar name across both Solid Grooves and Solid Grooves Raw in recent years with solo productions alongside collaborations with partner-in-crime Luca M, Romanian DJ and producer JUST2 is back again to serve up the goods. Making a quick return to sister-imprint Raw, he closes October with a shadowy effort as he drops his new single 'Wasted'.

Channelling the effortless drum grooves and airy melodies Romanian artists are well known for with his own tougher take on the genre, 'Wasted' balances light vocals with darker rumbling sub-bass for a subtle yet certified crowd mover.

Kotelett is one half of Kotelett & Zadak, the idiosyncratic house duo who have clocked up releases on respected imprints including Katermukke, Selador and Natura Viva. Recording solo for his latest single, Kotelett now returns to Poker Flat Recordings.

I Don't Know starts life as a moody, slick deep house cut, but transforms into a joyously uplifting floor-filling with the graudal introduction of snatches of vocal and triumphant piano chords. On remix duties, Audiojack beef everything up, adding an overall techier flavour complete with rumbling bassline and epic breakdown.

Said the artist of its creation: "This started life as just a fun jam when I couldn't get on with another remix. But the fun of the nineties piano chords finally got me to put my hands up in the studio, and convinced me to finish it.

The vocal would have been a taboo for me for a long time, now it really gets into me! It's always a nice feeling when you can leave your old belief at the roadside".

Ramin Rezaie returns to his Silky Records imprint for his latest single, 'Ear Candy'.

A core member and favourite within the Solid Grooves family with a string of EPs via renowned labels such as Moan, Deeperfect and Snatch!, UK DJ/producer and label boss Ramin Rezaie is building on a fruitful few years shaping his self-described 'clean cut beats' as he readies his first music of 2023.

After launching the label in early 2022 with 'Take You', racking up love from Jamie Jones, PAWSA and East End Dubs, alongside welcoming Nicolau Marinho and Felipe Fella for the second release, Rezaie is back with fresh material on his Silky Records imprint as he reveals his new single, 'Ear Candy'.

Another crisp track showcasing his building and slick sound, 'Ear Candy' is a vibrant slinking cut packed full of energy as snaking bassline grooves and punchy drum licks are guided by warped vocal interjections and meandering synths as Rezaie returns in fine form

Brazilian duo Crewcutz sharpen their skills for their Clarisse debut. Their brand of house for tanned torsos and style gurus has quickly earned support and respect from the scene’s pacemakers, and they did themselves no harm at all when 2022 saw them drop a cheeky edit of New Order’s seminal ‘Blue Monday’. ‘Just Like You’ jumps into clear blue waters and turns winter into a distant memory.

The beats fit Clarisse’s dancefloor designs perfectly – heavy on the percussion throughout until palms are pulverised, a bassline that’s doughy yet flexible, and the relaxed yet punchy feel of a beach party that, like the nature of the rolling groove, doesn’t know and doesn’t care when closing time will be. Vocally ‘Just Like You’ takes its cues from a sassylicious princess who’ll love you long time - pure diva material schooled on how to be a material girl and about bringing all the boys to the yard, the sort who are carried to the pool on their own personal 24 carat lounger.

The chorus though loosens up and enters the spirit of things, made to swing and sway shoulder to shoulder with all the other sun-seekers this will attract. Like a hot knife through butter, come and get a slice of what Crewcutz are serving.
