Ascension Symphony: An Orchestral Odyssey in 4 Movements.

The 1st movement "Path of Destiny" begins with marching melodies 
and proceeds with haunting harmonies, evoking the tangled paths and painful losses encountered along the way. 
With turbulent brass and strings and mournful melodies, 
the music navigates through the labyrinth of adversity, 
while the dreamy motifs symbolize the eternal hope that guides the traveler through the darkest of times.

Svalbard
Svalbard is a Norwegian archipelago in the North Atlantic and Arctic Ocean. Since the 1920 Svalbard Treaty, the archipelago has been known in Norwegian as Svalbard (German: "Cool Coast"). This name is not widely used in German, and the archipelago is commonly called Spitzbergen, which is also the name of the archipelago's main island.

Svalbard was settled from around 1900 onwards primarily for the exploitation of its rich coal deposits. Jan Mayen
Jan Mayen is a 373 km² island located approximately 550 km northeast of Iceland and about 500 km east of Greenland, on the border between the Greenland Sea and the Norwegian Sea. Politically, it belongs to Norway but is not part of any of the Norwegian counties. The island is administered by the county of Nordland; its administrative center is Bodø. It is named after the Dutch whaling captain Jan Jacobs May van Schellinkhout.

Taiwan is an island nation in East Asia that is diplomatically recognized by only a few countries due to the One China Policy. The Republic of China was proclaimed in Nanking on January 1, 1912, following the Xinhai Revolution on the Chinese mainland. The island of Taiwan, under Chinese rule from 1683 to 1895 and from 1895 to 1945 under the rule of the Japanese Empire, only returned to the Republic of China at the end of World War II. In 1949 – following the defeat in the civil war against the Communist Party and the founding of the People's Republic of China on the mainland – the government, elites, and armed forces of the Republic of China withdrew to the island of Taiwan. There, the Kuomintang, led by Chiang Kai-shek, established a one-party rule that lasted for several decades, maintaining a state of emergency. The second half of the 20th century was characterized by high economic growth; towards the end of the 1980s, the Kuomintang initiated a gradual democratization process. In several scales of democracy measurement, the Republic of China (Taiwan) is today, alongside Japan and South Korea, one of the most democratic states in Asia, comparable to Germany and Switzerland.

Even after the proclamation of the People's Republic of China in 1949, the government of the Republic of China initially represented the Chinese state at the United Nations and was a permanent member of the UN Security Council. As a result of the People's Republic's one-China policy, however, more and more states severed diplomatic relations with the Republic of China, which was forced to cede its UN membership to the People's Republic in 1971 with UN Resolution 2758. In 1979, the United States finally severed diplomatic relations after establishing official relations with the People's Republic (Taiwan Relations Act). Today, only a minority of the international community maintains formal diplomatic relations with the government in Taipei. The status of the Republic of China under international law is disputed and is the subject of the Taiwan conflict.

File Updated: Two acoustic guitars added (feeler runs so there's mistakes🤸‍♀️Program that AI🖕).... One mostly single string lead and the other a picked rhythm. Extended the progression for a dancey end... Note-The idea of a 23 second phrase is born from my boss pedal maxing out at 22990ms... so that was the longest possible loop I could do with it. To do that essily I needed to work out the bpm to fill that 23 seconds. This was the original 23 therapy..https://soundcloud.com/thebeautifuldark/23-therapy Ot's a mostly acoustic electronic tune.
An interesting coincidence here... The bpm used is 167 (83.49bpm x 2 rounded off) and the original has 167 plays as of now.... Schweeeet
So in fact that rounding makes our duration a little less so we are a tad shy of 23 seconds...

For me its absolutley worth learning the relationship of time duration and bpm well. Music at the end of the day is maths so I do like being conscious of the time and symmetry technically as well as just feeling it... It's interesting and maybe gives you a different understanding and hopefully more original music from that...

This song began with sums... I wanted the phrase to be 23 seconds long. Do the maths and thats 83.49 bpm or 2875ms per bar. My DAW don't like bpm decimals so I used a string scratch looped on a delay pedal with 2875ms delay to find that 23 second phrase and then move on to make the idea... If all else... it's a different way to start a song

As a writing constraint and extra nugget I wrote Twenty Three Therapy down the side of he page first and used it to build the lines...
