For this “Into The Echo” Sunday morning set, kōati takes us to church with a gospel intro before adorning us with a downtempo journey of deep tribal rhythms with cameos from The Beastie Boys, The Smiths & David Bowie. He then winds down his set & our entire weekend event with some classic opera, thereby announcing our next “Cosmic Opera” event to the audience before we all parted ways.

Argentinian DJ, producer and explorer of Latin American rhythms like cumbia, popular music of Argentina, and rock, mixes these with space sounds, electronica, and beat-making. His EP debut Le Soleil has crossed the border and is considered one of the best free discs of the year. In mid-2015 he released a disc edited by the “Frente Bolivarista” label which has continued to be played on stages in Brazil, Chile, and Argentina.

Phil has the ability to take listeners on musical journeys, effortlessly. According to Phil himself: 
“The adventure in mixing has begun for me, back in spring of 2016. Since then, many friends have supported and loved my work. They call me a musical storyteller and, you know, I love it!
I'm a music lover and I choose songs carefully, from downtempo electronica with ethnic elements, to darker and deeper house vibes. I also search for vibes that evoke strong emotions to sort of cleanse the soul. 
Many music collectives supported me so far; to name a few: Magician on Duty, 383 Project, Altospin, Tepeme Musica, Kybele, Deep & Smooth, Oase Musiq, Husa Sounds, The Deep Control and others.

Wir befinden uns mitten in der schönsten Jahreszeit. An Tagen wie diesen kann unserer blendenden Laune nicht einmal Regen etwas anhaben. Er steigert im besten Fall noch den Spaß und ermöglicht einzigartige Outdoor-Aktivitäten. Die Festivalsaison lässt uns nochmal Kind sein und weckt unsere Kreativität. Wir sehen Möglichkeiten statt Hindernisse und leben ein Wochenende in einer wundervollen Parallelwelt. Einzig getrieben durch unsere Grundbedürfnisse gleiten wir gelöst vom gesellschaftlichen Zwang durch die Stunden der Freiheit.
Wie bereits in unserer deep story Nr. 51 angekündigt, haben wir uns dieses Jahr auf unbekanntes Terrain gewagt und uns eher auf den kleinen Events rumgetrieben. Unser Fazit fiel überwiegend positiv aus. Ein absoluter Vorteil familiärer Festivals ist die enorme Zeitersparnis. Anstehen gehört hier in das Reich der Mythen und Sagen. Der kleine Hunger oder das große Geschäft können meist instant erledigt werden, da die Wege Kurz und die Schlangen noch viel kürzer sind. Bleibt mehr Zeit für die geliebten Tanzsportaktivitäten. Kleine Wermutstropfen sind da lediglich die zeitweise unbesetzten Stände und leeren Tanzflächen. Zudem ist die Auswahl natürlich geringer. Wenn einem die Musik auf Floor 1 nicht in Schwung bringt und Floor 2 gnadenlos überfüllt ist, muss man sich manchmal eine kleine Zwangspause gönnen.
Dennoch ist das Gesamterlebnis, egal ob Massenevent oder Kleinveranstaltung, oft das Highlight des Jahres und schafft einzigartige Erinnerungen. Wann sonst steht man 4 Uhr auf weil einem der Beat aus dem Zelt zieht, tanzt ununterbrochen 3 Stunden und legt sich wieder schlafen.
So lasst uns das Ende der diesjährigen Open-Air Tanzsaison gebührend feiern und all die guten Begegnungen und Erfahrungen nochmal in den Kopf rufen. Dabei wird uns kein geringerer als David Jach behilflich sein. Der dieses Jahr durch seine zahlreichen treibenden Sets auf Festivals und Open-Airs sicherlich vielen von uns unvergessliche Momente beschert hat.

Inspired by all cultures, he is curious about exploring all sounds, and playing a more diverse range of tracks. »The inspiration behind my Seaside Trip journey is this amazing poem by the beloved Pablo Neruda, called The Sea. To me, what Pablo seems to be telling us is that the sea is a living, breathing organism, whose essence is an ongoing, caressing movement. All seas, like all human lives, are joined in a certain, unbreakable way. In my Seaside Trip journey I tried to convey this message by using a full range of soul-bound beats, melodies and vocals from all around the world.« Niki Sadeki

I need the sea because it teaches me,
I don’t know if I learn music or awareness,
if it’s a single wave or its vast existence,
or only its harsh voice or its shining
suggestion of fishes and ships.
