I met Naroma at Festival Nomade in Chile 2018 and again in Brazil a month later at the Voodoohop festival. Besides having a great immediate connection it was apparent we shared a similar taste in music while having a distinct difference in track selection. After hearing i was planning on spending the summer in Berlin, Naroma kindly invited me to share some timeslots with her, Fusion Festival being the first one. Having never played together and having a very different approach to playing music and equipment we decided to jump in and have a back to back session at the Casino space with little to no prep. We played from 3:30 am until 9:30 am Monday morning and loved the magic that unfolded. Here’s a fraction of that recording with all the errors and beauty that come with a first time experience. We look forward to recording many more sets and see what this collaboration will grow into, we hope you enjoy it as much as we did

We got to play at the beach from 6 to 10 am at the lovely Sysyphos. They keep the sound low till later in the morning so we tried to play accordingly, here's the beginning of our set. It was such an honor to play there.

After a summer of incredible gigs and special moments already,  the lovely Mira invited me to play at KaterBlau as well….it was the last set of the summer and i could not think of a better way to finish my gigs in Berlin.

What to say…Besides being grateful to be asked to share space and time to partake in celebrating this wonderful lady. The event was exactly how i imagined it would be and more, a true marathon bender with all of the lovely characters you'd like to see when you embark on such an adventure. When @mira_kater invited me to play it, you betcha i was coming in from wherever! And it did not disappoint, my only regret is that i wish i would have planned my stamina better, since i wish i could have stayed for the whole event. Incredibly grateful for this invitation to participate in this celebration. These sweet souls had booked me to play their birthday event in Mykonos and we're kind enough to still honor that time while being quarantined in Boulder CO. After being mostly quite and kind've caught like a dear in the headlights these days, i began to set back in motion and began feeling super excited and joyful playing music. Unfortunately due to where i'm staying at the moment i could not pull off a live stream, so we opted for a recording instead. I recorded the tracks that bring back fond memories of seeing peoples responds on the dance floor the past year, so here's a collection of my favorites, they sure bring back sweet memories for me, hope they move you as well.

Half Belgian and half Dutch, Ramona spent her youth bouncing between Antwerp and Amsterdam throughout the early 90s. Growing up on Belgian techno and the Dutch love of house music instilled in her an early appreciation for contrast and balance between these two genres of music.

Ramona’s sound weaves together a tapestry of melodies, textures and beats, reflecting three decades of extensive world travel. Always conscious of the energy of her audience, her sensitivity stems from a love of dancing, and results in an emotive, sensual style that exudes a rich array of feeling. It is Ramona’s way of giving back and getting back to that vital place we all go when the music feels right.
