The original is one of my favorite electronic songs of all time. This song and G Jones' album "The Ineffable Truth" as a whole opened my eyes to how IDM and acid influences could be integrated into buildup-drop/EDM structures in a way that was still classy, leftfield, true-to-form and emotional. I remixed this for a more experimental edge.

i wrote this piece for someone that i used to consider important above anyone else. without her this would not exist.
"surrender" was the switch i needed to understand that, finally, a DAW and a computer became an extension of my arms, and they work as emotion translators. everything you are hearing is literally the me of September 2022 being in love, but at the same time getting hurt by the knife he's holding from the blade.
