'Mother Recordings charges on through 2021 with another superb release. This one from Italian duo The Deepshakerz features Marck Jamz, one of the biggest up and coming artists in Europe at the moment with tracks signed to Sony Music, PIV, Glasgow Underground, Toolroom Records and Defected Records, whilst Amsterdam based DiVine also links brilliantly for the second offering.

Put You On feat. Marck Jamz is a nice warm house tune with chunky drums to rock the floor. The warped synth and vocals duck and dive to bring movement and the whole thing really pops off.

Funky Bongos then picks up the pace with a more lively house groove, big chord stabs and some soulful female vocals to add another layer of warmth and richness.

This is another fine EP from the ever excellent Mother Recordings.'

DAVID MORALES teams up with no other than one of the hottest underground DJ/artist in the game, native New Yorker Mr. V. This track has been one of David's hottest tracks on his DIRIDIM & SUNDAY MASS shows.
Both David and Mr. Vee go back a span of 25 years. The collaboration between the two speaks for itself. This track has a relentless hypnotic groove that just takes you away into the abyss.
This is pure dance floor heat. There's a vocal, an instrumental and a drum mix.
David Morales honed his skills as a DJ in the 1980s and 1990s at such legendary clubs as the Paradise Garage, Red Zone, Ministry of Sound, and Sound Factory. When the remix and DJ work began taking off, Morales teamed up with house music legend, Frankie Knuckles, and For The Record DJ Pool founder/NYC nightlife impresario, Judy Weinstein, to create Def Mix Productions. Morales’ prolific production career kicked into high gear in the 1990s with the release of his solo debut album, “The Program” by David Morales & The Bad Yard Club. In the late-1990s, with hundreds of remixes (Mariah Carey’s “Dreamlover,” Janet Jackson’s “Throb,” Alison Limerick’s “Where Love Lives,” CeCe Peniston’s “Finally,” Jaydee’s “Plastic Dreams,” Robert Owens’ “I’ll Be Your Friend,” under his belt, Morales recorded the groundbreaking house jam, “Needin’ U,” under the alias David Morales Presents The Face. Morales’ second album, “2 Worlds Collide,” arrived in 2005, followed six years later, by his third album, “Changes”. David Morales was nominated for his first Grammy Award in 1996 as a Producer on Mariah Carey’s album, ‘Daydream’ for the song ‘Fantasy’. He won the 1998 Grammy Award for “Remixer of the Year.” Though Morales’ past is surely one for music’s history books, the DJ-turned-artist always has his eyes firmly focused on the future—on what lies ahead. He keeps an ear to the ground, regularly exploring new music, new artists, and hotly tipped DJs who might inspire him to “go and do my homework.” He happily embraces the new generation of clubgoers. “They don’t care about yesterday”, he says, with a knowing smile.
In addition to his busy dj schedule, Mr. V has displayed his turntable talents at many popular nightclubs across the globe, he has also made a name for himself as a producer, songwriter & remixer on his own imprint labels Sole Channel Music & Muzik 4 Tomorrow as a way to release music with complete control and artistic freedom. To date, he has many singles & collaborations on many notable Dance Music labels. Longstanding Spanish talent Dennis Cruz achieves a career milestone this October with the release of his debut album, Roots. The thing going on between Rampa & Re.You could be called a synergy or joint venture or plain and simple the answer to the question what ideally can happen when two nationally and internationally sought after producer/DJs make common cause. Seeing RAR live once will show: the plan works out. This joint live-venture evolved as a consequence of previous studio works both accomplished together. “Work” on Keinemusik as their first collaboration remains irresistible to this day. “The Track” on Gigolo, “Yeah Yeah Yeah” on Cocoon plus their “La Mezcla”-remix on Strictly Rhythm and others followed up shortly.

On a stage, they’ll draw from exactly that backcatalogue, but also from the ongoing list of solo- and collective projects and they’ll assemble this material more cohesively and urgently than any DJ-set could measure up to. They’ll edit their source material on the fly, push it through effect units, match it and decorate it accordingly to the requirements of the night. As a result, they deliver euphorically received and more than vivid sets, placed between elegant deepness and unrestrained excess, never losing sight of the peaktime-curve.

The moniker under which the unmistakable RAR-sound can be accessed is known as aRARthing. Read the bold letters as the obvious acronym of both protagonists or, to get straight what this is all about, as the abbreviation of Rugged And Raw. Everything happening under this label and corporate name is focused on the essential: the music. 

aRARthing is a vinyl only label. No artworks. No intermediate fooling around. Just Techno – hard, direct and dirty. Letting streetsmartness be their guide for picking the right samples and arrangements is a must when executing the evident mantra: Oh baby, I like it RAR.
