Welcome (back) to this space! Happy holidays to everyone, for the last mix of the year we have Sign taking over the podcast.

Not many times you run into an artist that you truly like and share the same vision of music and for me, this is the case with Sign. Back in October 2020, (when he was under the Constant alias) he shared with me Forced Conflict, one of the first ever New Wave uploads. Ever since this artist doesn't stop to impress me with his unique approach of Drum & Bass, blessing me with WIPs asking me for feedback. If I'm glad of making this kind of content is because of discover artist like him, my favourite underground producer in the whole scene.

After the initial aftermath that was caused by “Infinite Impact”, things started shifting and living on their own. Along with our usual releases, we have also started to publish free downloads via our Soundcloud, which ended up like a perfect platform for artists that deserves to get a shine. In the second part “Assembly Assault”, relationships started to cultivate and get shaped much more tenaciously and dynamically since this compilation became the germ behind the bloom of our SINFUL MAZE producers community in the form of a daily chat for the artistic and the joys and hardships of everyday life lasting till nowadays… That grew into 'RODINA'!

SINFUL MAZE brings you the 3rd part continuing with the trilogy of the Various Artists Compilation lore, the last and the biggest. In the wake of the first “Infinite Impact” and the following “Assembly Assault” exploring all the unknown producers from all around the globe, this series comes to its end with the final epos titled “Outer Operators”.

From their debut release on the acclaimed ProgRAM100 compilation, through to their first stand alone release on ProgRAM ‘Can’t Leave You Alone / Just Might Fall’, D-Code & Psylence follow a stream of releases under the emblem with a brand new delivery. Also featuring as part of the weighty 2021 annual compilation of its historic 30-year old sister label RAM Records, they’re no strangers to the brand, bringing with them a sublime take on production to both imprints.

Known also through several releases on Shiva Soundsystem Records and The Weird & The Wonderful, they’re notable for their part in East London’s club and warehouse spaces. With D-Code previously hosting on BBC Radio 1 too, and the duo producing for BAFTA-nominated video game DJ Hero, they’re certainly no strangers to a cross pollination of genres. This even includes tastemakers such as Clash Music, GQ Style, 6 AM and Red Bull.

Whilst A-side ‘Coming Down’ manifests itself through elongated, ethereal strings against the soul tinted vocals of Jessica Wilde, ‘Medicine’ shuffles through amongst rolling percussive patches and shuttling drum patterns. So once again, it’s time to get with the ProgRAM. Providing another stage for the exploration of the dreamlike sounds that artists like D-Code & Pyslence have mastered.

In the depths of space, between nebulae and stars alike, there extends an impenetrable primordial darkness that suffuses all of the light which travels the cosmos’ great expanse. This much is commonly known, but what is less so known is that within this web of darkness lurk a litany of cosmic horrors, uniquely adapted to their homes between the stars and with the power to tug upon the foundational forces of the universe to truly terrifying effect.

Amongst these otherworldly beings is the one known only as the BULLDOG. Composed solely of flayed flesh stretched across a jumbled skeletal frame, the BULLDOG extends its influence over the primal savagery found throughout the universe as the embodiment of the visceral struggle between opposed forms of life as they each seek to rend each other from existence. The BULLDOG feeds upon this chaos, and it is said that it exacts blood tribute from every such conflict in the form of flesh from the defeated, grafting the forms of the fallen onto its ever-expanding body as a colossus of carnage. Among a select few to which the BULLDOG is known, fewer still yet worship such a fearsome creature, seeking to reap bloody reward as a sacrifice to the being in trade for only a sliver of its aberrant power. As its influence warps their minds, these disciples of the BULLDOG become evermore fervent in their devotion to its unending fury which drives them, howling as beasts, to sacrifice themselves in ultimate bloodlust as a final gift before the cosmic beast’s endlessly hungering eyes.

Woe to any who should wish to wield the powers of the BULLDOG, for the bloodlust shall consume them and see them bound in torment to the mass of flesh stretched across the beast’s body!

SITRI makes his EATBRAIN debut with his EP BULLDOG, rising from the ranks of the label’s faithful to become their newest champion on the merit of his savage soundscapes and unrelenting basslines. As he showcases his sound on the three tracks within, SITRI makes clear his devotion to EATBRAIN’s core tenets as each sonic sequence delivers a deluge of Neurofunk tonalities even more destructive than the last.
