Loadstar, aka Xample & Lomax, are gearing up for the release of their debut album later this year with another single. Space Between / BLVD is out on Ram Records on March 28th and picks up where Link To The Past left off.

Don't be fooled by the beautiful acoustic guitar opening and vocals of Space Between, as it is quickly drops into a vicious, bass-led, dancefloor-friendly monster. The gorgeous strings, crisp beats, diva vocal samples and subtle vintage nods of BLVD are equally impressive.

Juho Kavasto and Sainey Gibba are back to remind you of their production prowess, with their first slice of new music since 2022! Having taken a bit of a welcome break from production after the release of their debut album ‘Simulations’ back in 2021, the pair return with a re-energised approach and a recognisable, yet pleasing sound palate to paint the aural canvas of 2024 anew. 

Reworking ‘Jola Dub’ taken from their aforementioned debut LP ‘Simulations’ - the VIP brings back the Gambian tribal vibes once again but this time with a more familiar, DJ friendly drum pattern. Big, chunky bass textures meet shimmering synths in an energetic collision ready to tear up your local discotheque.

We reach another milestone with the highly anticipated, most talked about release of the year, RAMM100. 

To celebrate the release, we're offering something rather special to our loyal followers; the chance to own four tracks that have been rinsed in raves for up to half a decade, but have never previously been available to buy.

Sub Focus’ ‘Stomp’ has had more dance floors jumping than most ravers have had hot dinners since  Andy C started dropping it over two years ago. Internet message boards have been ablaze since as eager fans digitally waxed lyrical about its crisp beats, booming bass and cheeky vocal sample.

Taken from ‘Nightlife 4’, ‘Machine’ by Culture Shock is a grinding, futuristic slice of electro-driven D&B that’s been top of people’s wishlists since 2008. Even now, three years later, the skills of Culture Shock makes this heavyweight track sound as relevant as it did then and is a very warm welcome addition to Ram’s vinyl catalogue.

The C side is Andy C’s side as ‘Finders Keepers’ finally gets an official release. Anyone who hung around Ram’s label nights at The End or has a copy of ‘Nightlife 3’ stashed somewhere will surely remember this one and its infectious lead riff.

Finally Noisia’s 2007 take on Ram Trilogy’s classic ‘No Reality’ rounds off this EP in fine style. Easily one of the most requested Ram tracks that never made it to release, this will undoubtedly have the forums firing on all cylinders in anticipation.  

Quite simply this EP is the Holy Grail of Drum & Bass

Sub Focus - Stomp

Hamilton might seem like a relatively new name on the block to some, but this versatile and talented producer has been making electronic music for over fifteen years. Having conquered several genres and worked as an international DJ for a decade and a half, the next step in
Hamilton’s story was after sending some of his D&amp;B tracks to Ram boss Andy C.

Signing exclusively to Ram in 2009, Hamilton has already released two huge 12”s for Frequency (Ram’s sister label) and the immense ‘Soundboy’, a track released as part of Andy C’s ‘Nightlife 5’ CD. His latest single is set to be even bigger and is a testament to Ram’s ability
to develop artists. 

With a weight of production skill and the knowledge and experience of what makes people go nuts on the dance floor, Hamilton’s tunes are engineered specifically to get the dance moving and ‘Brainstorm’ has no trouble doing that.

Leading in gently with rolling percussive elements and a gradually building atmosphere, Hamilton slowly lets the suspense grow until the ravers are eager for release. Winding bass notes and scattered drum edits are interspersed with sweeping FX and this one is a sure-fire
smasher.

Taking things on an epic and melodic tip for the flip, Hamilton shows his diversity with ‘Echoes’, a track that harks back to the golden era of drum &amp; bass and was a highlight on ‘Nightlife 5’. Like a modern day PFM, Hamilton effortlessly combines twinkling musical elements and
warm synthetic pads with crisp breakbeats and a rolling flow that’s undeniable. This one will see many a dance floor through to 4am with raised hands and smiling faces.

RAMM105 sees DC Breaks at their drum &amp; bass best, packing this release with all their trademark energy and enough bass to drop an elephant at 40 paces. 

Taking you in slowly, ‘Creeper’ starts out with gently filtered breaks and echoing bleeps that lead you into a false sense of security. Before long a vocal sample heralds the coming drop and a grinding bassline slaps you round the face, insisting that you move your body to its winding, hypnotic curse. Expertly chopped breaks emphasise the end of each phrase and show just why DC Breaks have become revered for their studio skills. 

Then ‘Horror’ screeches into view with an almighty attitude and a set of subs that threaten to knock you off your feet. A bloodcurdling bassline and immensely scary synth leads punctuate the intro with a call and response formula that’s impossible to resist and a brilliant sample snippet leads you towards the inevitable dance floor destruction. By the time the drop comes everyone will be reaching for the reload as DC Breaks’ signature strong drums and weighty bass notes hit home. Pure mayhem, guaranteed!
