It is a warm summer night, and we are participating in the wild ritual. Massive bonfire flames are coming up to the sky, and scores of people dressed like animals dancing around. Others are sitting and playing the drums, and I am sitting all naked next to this folk. Drums start to play louder and louder, and it is getting unbearably hot. Flames are soothing and burning my body at the same time. Sweat runs like rivers, and I close my eyes and start feeling how my soul is parting the body. 

I'm leaving this world by ascending high. Surrounded by soft and cool clouds, I am running through treetops and jumping on the highest mountains. My inner voice tells me to keep running forward on these long bridges to reach that magical passage to happiness and bliss. 

I start wondering what I will have to say or how to greet the happiness? Would I be able to touch it or smell it? Not feeling the ground underneath, I'm just ascending higher and higher into the infinite skies. Suddenly I see an image and start going forward with my last bits of energy. And finally hit a mirror in which I witness myself.  

All confused, start thinking whether this is how happiness and bliss looks. Did I have to go all the way and spend all the energy to find myself at the other end? Do I have enough willpower to find a different type of bliss, joy or happiness because the current one is not enough? Should I stay or ascend further?

Driven by a common love for deep, emotional and hypnotic dark music they like to call "Voodoo Music" these two guys started a new concept downtown in Fuse club called "Initiate". After two years playing side by side they decided to launch "Initiate Shamans", a duo in which they play together on the decks.

It is undeniable that we are living in uncertain times. For those of us failing to fit the patriarchal, neoliberalist mould we have lost hope in the future. We can see capitalism is not working but we cannot yet envisage an alternative. We discover that the stability we were instructed to obtain whether it be financial, political or ecological, is fleeting, if at all. The resulting anxiety is an instrument of neoliberalism that prevents many of us from being able to raise consciousness of the structural injustices that alienate us.

In a world where security is no longer feasible, the only constant we can rely on is change. Barad teaches us that the world is a dynamic process of intra-activity and materialisation, an ongoing ebb and flow of agency. The Buddhist Law of Impermanence proves that nothing in this world is eternal.

Regardless of ones point of reference we can understand that every aspect of life, physical and mental is in flux and perhaps this transience is the only thing we can depend on.

Each month we invite an artist to ruminate on these ideas and create an hour of relief from these anxieties. A temporary suspension of reality, where the listener can speculate on alternate modes of existence that reject hetero- patriarchal systems of oppression.

This month we have invited @vedis_klara (aka @klara_vedis) to respond to this concept.

Erevan DJ has been running Bamboo Shows since 2018. Bamboo Shows is a wicked Label, podcast series and party from Lyon promoting audio sophrology, 90's reminiscences, psychedelic atmospheres and exotic breaks.

Erevan DJ designed this more upbeat LDT as one of these hectic dreams and endless psychedelic wanderings the mind can make when semi-sleeping. A chimerical representation of the fascinating trips into wild nature with here and there a few traces of the apocalyptic tale of Majora's Mask.

“Yokota’s music was always completely individual, always esoteric yet never willfully indulgent. His touch was that of a master craftsman, creating intricate musical jewels that sparkled like no others. There’s no doubt that if he had been in a position to play live concerts his reputation would far exceed many of his contemporaries. He will be sorely missed by those who value quality and originality in music”.

A clear tribute Eafhm make to him consisting of several sessions and live performances with a special dedication, full of love and a lot of hard work on. Fun, demented, freewheeling, colourful, narcotic and oddly human. A fully acknowledgment of gratitude, respect and admiration. Timeless. Thanks.

The Berlin-based label, Faintest Ink welcomes the duo Sea Ef (Claudio Fabrianesi and Filippo Brancadoro) and their 'Acid Sperimentale' EP for the third release in its catalog. Besides the original track, the release also features remixes by Tuomo Väänänen and On Board Music founder, Laura BCR.

Laura's take on 'Acid Sperimentale' has haunting ambient tones paired with drone undercurrents for a pretty pleasant journey into which the listener can drift freely and create their imagination. Somewhere in the middle of the journey, Laura introduces percussion, which serves as a perfect addition to an intricately layered track.

'Acid Sperimentale' EP is coming out on December 4th via Faintest Ink.

For the first hour, we have DJ T.Knight playing an all-vinyl set of radar electro, Detroit Techno & futuristic bass lines.

Not only an avid record collector, Mr knight was also the man who painstakingly hand screen printed all the covers for our 1st Jeremiah R record.

On the second hour, you’ll be taken on an immersive sonic experience from one of the most exciting techno DJs we’ve heard in a long time. Damien Schneider, a french DJ & producer, Onset label owner, Bristol resident and a bit of a legend in our books.
