I am so lucky and honored to be welcomed by Lebanese artists and activists to collaborate on creating this important and valuable project. Mafi Mafi (Khod) is one of the best teamwork experiences I've had in my life. It all started when the Lebanese revolution unfolded, and I saw the footage of the free people raging in the streets, fighting for their better future. It looked and felt exactly like the revolution in Egypt. I can't explain how proud I was to see the people of Lebanon playing my song El Ars in the streets. I felt so connected to what was happening. And so, I decided to start "Mafi Mafi (Khod)" with a talented group of Lebanese artists working alongside video director Tariq Keblaoui and lyricist Samir Skayni.

In our region we share the same pain. We unite together through art to oppose those in power who oppress us.

Lagl Tentesri (For You To Win) لاجل تنتصرى highlights the resilience and sacrifices of the people in the Egyptian revolution – whether they be martyrs, prisoners, or still carrying on the fight and facing heavy consequences for their actions.
The lyricist, Ahmad Douma, prominent Egyptian activist and revolutionary, is serving a 15 years sentence in Egyptian prisons, and has already spent 11 years of his life imprisoned for standing up for human rights, democracy, and freedom nod speech during the early years of the Egyptian revolution. 
Still, even though facing unjust and brutal treatment in his confinement, Douma resiliently keeps fighting for his cause with his words.
Lagl Tentesri (For You To Win) is a tribute to human rights defenders in Egypt and worldwide – especially for Douma himself.

Lyrics of the song are written by Egyptian poet Galal El-Behairy in Badr Prison, Egypt. كان الظلام حواليا.. كان صعب حتى أشوف ايديا.. مكنش فيه حد جنبيَ.. قربت انسى شكل النور! كان حلمي اني بس أشوف, يوم في حياتي من غير خوف, منعتني كل الظروف و اتبنالي أعلى سور. و بأقوي ضربة تطلع مني بعزمها, و اسهر ليالي قصاد الحيطة بهدها, لا بشوف ولا أسمع أي حاجة تهزني.. و في ليلة آخر اليوم النور ابتدى. كان حلمي اني بس أشوف, يوم في حياتي من غير خوف, منعتني كل الظروف و اتبنالي أعلى سور. وَظَلَّ يَرْكُضُ حَتَّى خِلْتُهُ, تَقَطَّعَتْ خُيُوطُ أنْفَاسِهِ وَ تَهَدَّلَتْ رُؤْيَاهْ, تِلْكَ هِىَ نَفْسٌ تَعْوِى نَجْدَاهُ نَجْدَاهْ.. أَيَا إنْسَانُ بِئْسَ تِيهِ العَيْشِ, بِئْسَ حُلْمٍ أَغْفَلْتَ عَنْهُ فَمَا أدْرَكْتَ أدْنَاهْ, أَرَاكَ تَقْبَعُ فِى قِيعَانِ نَفْسِكَ فَتَهْوَى بِهَا فِى فَرَاغٍ مِلْؤهُ خَوْفٌ.. وَ مِمَّ تَخَاف فِى حَضْرَةِ مَنْ تَبَارَكَ وَ جَلَّ عُلَاهْ؟! فَلْتَنْهَض طُيُورُ البَسَالَةِ وَ تَعْلُو فِى سَمَائكَ, وَ ليَكُنْ نِدَاؤكَ دَوْمَاً "الله الله 
الله" كان حلمي اني بس أشوف, يوم في حياتي من غير خوف, منعتني كل الظروف و اتبنالي أعلى سور.
