 The fire took her features when it caught a western gust
and rifled up the staircase like a demon bent with lust

But Billy made it out with just 6 seconds to spare  
He watched the brothel burn

he watched from the barbers and sat quiet for a spell 
He stole the sheriffs horse-

turned the reigns toward Missouri
