Shortly after learnin' to walk
And barely able to walk 
Dad had me hopin' and wishin'

Memories of my dad are never far
And fishin' with him a cherished memoir
When I visit those salty shores
I look up to heaven's door
And cast my line for daddy once more

This is the story about my Grand Banks 36 trawler and the genesis of its name.

Was the month of June on a salty marsh
With my kayak ride and tent set for the tide
Livin' by the sea on weekend friends
Catchin' my dinner grilled with fire
Knew life wasn't risin' that much higher

Crispy by Sunday sleepin' under the moon
Sunscreen piled thick as shellac
Those days were golden
In my dreams I'm always goin' back

It was Rockport Texas I built my rig
Lime green kayak with trollin' motor
Lookin for a beach 'fore the sun got much lower
By the time the stars began to shine
Sand trout and croaker were tastin' fine

A 36 Grand Banks classic
With a Ford Lehman motor had me feelin' rich
That straight six diesel 
Made my addiction a bit more feasible
