I wrote "Santa Rosa Lady" for Cyndie McKeever, whom I had just met nine days prior. I knew this was the girl I was going to marry, so I had Cyndie come over to my recording studio (Theta Sound, located in Los Feliz district of Los Angeles at that time; currently in Burbank, CA) and I sang a live vocal to the basic tracks I had already recorded. She was glowing... Then I asked, "What's your ring size?" We were married November 27, 1983, and are still creating a most musical and magical life together...
