The Virtues of Reciting Surah Al Mulk Every Night...
‘Abdallah ibn Mas'ood (radhiAllahu 'anhu) said:

“Whoever reads 'al-Mulk’ every night, Allah will protect him from the torment of the grave. At the time of the Messenger of Allah (sallAllahu 'alayhi wa sallam), we used to call it al-mani'ah (that which protects). In the Book of Allah, there is a chapter [and] whoever recites it every night has done very well.”

[Sahih at-Targhib wat-Tarhib, no. 1475]

Imam Ahmad recorded from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that Allah’s Messenger (sallAllahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said,

“Verily, there is a chapter in the Qur'an which contains thirty Ayat that will intercede on behalf of its reciter until he is forgiven. (It is): 'Blessed be He in Whose Hand is the dominion.’”
[This Hadith was collected by At-Tirmidhi and the four Sunan Compilers. At-Tirmidhi said concerning it, “This is a Hasan Hadith.”]

He (sallAllahu 'alayhi wa sallam) used to recite Surah As-Sajdah and Surah Al-Mulk  before sleeping.

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (sallAllahu 'alayhi wasallam) saying,

“There is a Surah in the Qur'an which contains thirty Ayat which kept interceding for a man until his sins are forgiven. This Surah is 'Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion.’ (Surat Al-Mulk 67).”

Surah Almulk- Shaikh Abdur Rahman Al Awsii

Reading the Holy Quran is a great way to overcome turmoil, anxiety and distress, and to relieve us. There is one particular Ayah in particular that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ spoke of, that is said to give its reader great benefits in this life and the afterlife – Ayatul Kursi (Surat Al-Baqarah 2:255), also known as the Verse of the Throne.

Virtues and Benefits of Ayatul Kursi

1. Narrated Abu Huraira: Prophet Muhammad ﷺ ordered me to guard the Zakat revenue of Ramadan. Then somebody came to me and started stealing of the foodstuff. I caught him and said, “I will take you to Allah’s Apostle!” Then Abu Huraira described the whole narration and said: That person said (to me), “Please don’t take me to Allah’s Apostle and I will tell you a few words by which Allah will benefit you. When you go to your bed, recite Ayatul Kursi, (2.255) for then there will be a guard from Allah who will protect you all night long, and Satan will not be able to come near you till dawn.” When the Prophet heard the story he said (to me), “He (who came to you at night) told you the truth although he is a liar; and it was Satan.” [Sahih Al-Bukhari] 

The Virtues and Benefits of the last two verses of Surah Baqara

1. It is reported on the authority of Ibn Mas’ud that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Whoever recited the last two verses of suratul baqarah at night, they will be sufficient for him.” [Bukhari]

2. It is reported on the authority of ‘Ali (RA) that he said: “I do not consider it fitting for anyone who has understood Islam to sleep (at night) until he has recited AyatAl- Kursi-and the ending of Surat Al-Baqarah, for they are a gift to your Prophet (SAW) from the treasure which lies beneath the Throne.” (Narrated by Ibn Mardawaih) 

The Virtues and Benefits of Surah al-Mulk, Sajdah and al-Waqiah

1. Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Nabi ﷺ did not use to sleep until he recited Alif Lam Mim Sajdah (Surah 32), and Tabarakalladhl biyadihil mulk (Surah 67). [Tirmidhi]

2. Abu Hurairah Radiyallahu ‘anhu narrates that Nabi ﷺ said: Indeed, there is a Surah in the Qur’an having thirty verses, which intercedes for its reciter until he is forgiven. And that Surah is: Tabarakalladhl biyadihil mulk (Surah 67). [Tirmidhi]

3. It was narrated that Abdullah ibn Mas’ud said: Whoever reads Tabarakallahi Biyadihil Mulk [i.e. Surah al-Mulk] every night, Allah will protect him from the torment of the grave. At the time of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) we used to call it al-mani’ah (that which protects). In the Book of Allah it is a surah which, whoever recites it every night has done very well.  [An-Nasa’i]

4. The Prophet ﷺ said, ‘Whoever recites surah al Waqiah at night would never encounter poverty’ [Ibn Sunni 620 and Ibn Kathīr]

1. Empat kalimat ini adalah kalimat YANG DIPILIHKAN ALLAH untuk diucapkan hambaNya

Rasuulullaah shallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam bersabda: [[Sesungguhnya Allah memilih empat kalimat, yaitu: Subhanallah, Alhamdulillah, Laa ilaha illaLLah, dan Allahu Akbar]] (HR. Ahmad)

2. Empat kalimat ini adalah kalimat yang PALING DICINTAI ALLAH

Rasuulullaah shallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam bersabda: [[Kalimat yang paling dicintai Allah ada 4, tidak masalah darimana saja kamu memulainya: Subhanallah, Alhamdulillah, Laa ilaaha illaLLah, dan Allahu Akbar.]] (HR. Muslim)

3. Empat kalimat ini akan menjadikan pengucapnya MULIA disisi ALLAH

Rasuulullaah shallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam bersabda: [[Tidak ada seorangpun yang lebih baik daripada seorang mu`min yang memakmurkan islamnya dengan memperbanyak takbir, tasbih, tahlil dan tahmidnya. ]] (HR. Ahmad)

4. Empat kalimat ini LEBIH BAIK dari dunia dan seisinya

Rasuulullaah shallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam bersabda: [[Sungguh, jika aku mengucap: Subhanallah, Alhamdulillah, Laa ilaha illaLLah, dan Allahu Akbar; maka ini lebih aku sukai daripada apa-apa yang disinari matahari (yaitu seluruh isi bumi).]] (HR. Ahmad)

5. Empat kalimat ini MENGHAPUSKAN dosa-dosa dan MENAMBAHKAN amalan shaalih

Rasuulullaah shallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam bersabda: [[Orang-orang yg menyebut-nyebut keagungan Allah dengan tasbih, takbir, tahlil serta tahmid, maka kalimat itu akan mengelilingi Arasy Allah dengan suara mereka seperti suara lebah, menyebut-nyebut orang yang menyebutnya. Apakah kalian tidak suka ada yang menyebut kalian (disisi Tuhan kalian)? ]] (HR. Ahmad, ibnu Maajah, al-Haakim dan selainnya)

7. Empat kalimat ini adalah SEDEKAH

Rasuulullaah shallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam bersabda: [[Bukankah Allah telah jadikan apa-apa yang ada pada kalian dapat disedekahkan? Sungguh setiap tasbih itu sedekah, setiap takbir itu sedekah, setiap tahmid itu sedekah, setiap tahlil itu sedekah. ]] (HR. Muslim)

8. Empat kalimat ini adalah PEMBERAT TIMBANGAN KEBAIKAN di hari kiamat kelak karena BESARnya PAHALA

Rasuulullaah shallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam bersabda: [[Alangkah beratnya ucapan ini di atas timbangan, (yaitu ucapan) : Subhanallah, alhamdulillah, laa ilaaha illaLLaah, Allahu Akbar]] (HR. al-Haakim)

9. Empat kalimat ini menyelamatkan pembacanya kelak di hari kiamat

Rasuulullaah shallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam bersabda: [["Ambillah perisai kalian!” Kami bertanya,” Wahai Rasulullah adakah musuh telah datang ?” Nabi Menjawab,”Bukan, akan tetapi perisai dari api neraka. Katakanlah: Subhanallah, Alhamdulillah, Laa ilaaha illaLLah, Allahu Akbar’. Karena sungguh ia akan datang pada hari kiamat menyelamatkan (penyebutnya dari adzab) dan mendahului (adzab). Ia amalan yang baik lagi kekal]] (HR. Muslim)

10. Empat kalimat ini adalah tanam-tanaman surga(yang kelak akan menyenangkan para penghuni surga)

Rasuulullaah shallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam bersabda: [[Aku pernah bertemu Ibrahim pada malam ketila aku dibawa berjalan malam (Isra'). Lalu Ibrahim berkata: Wahai Muhammad, sampaikanlah salamku kepada umatmu, dan beritahulah mereka, bahwa surga itu tanahnya sangat baik, airnya bersih, dan sesungguhnya surga itu tanahnya yang luas lagi rata, dan tanahnya subur; tanamannya ialah Subhanallah, Alhamdulillah, Laa ilaaha illaLLah, dan Allahu Akbar]] (HR. Muslim)

Demikianlah diantara keutamaan-keutamaan yang bisa kita dapatkan jika kita mengucapkan empat kalimat ini... Maka masih beratkah lisan kita untuk mengucapnya?
