The Palominos - Sweet Misery

Described by Rolling Stone as "pure Americana heart and soul" The Bastard Sons of Johnny Cash are the voice and vision of songwriter Mark Stuart. Since forming the band in 1995, he's performed with most every major artist in the Country and Americana music community. Stuart was personally given permission to use the band's name by Johnny Cash himself.

He was also honored by the Man in Black with an invitation to record songs at Cash's own home in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Two other iconic music legends, Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard, were also early believers who were instrumental in helping Stuart get his start.

With the release of their critically acclaimed debut CD"Walk Alone" in 1999, the Bastard Sons quickly proved they were no novelty act. With strong songwriting and great musicianship, the Sons' quickly jumped to the forefront of the growing Alternative Country Scene. No stranger to the road, their constant touring and hard work have built the band a loyal grass roots following both in the States and abroad.

Whether performing in front of thousands at a Festival in the US or Europe, or playing all night in a Texas dance hall, for Stuart it’s all about respect. "The Bastard Sons never were, and never will be, a Johnny Cash tribute band."  It's always been about honoring the musical ideals of our heroes, and paying respect to the originality, integrity, and independence that made those artists who they are. Our goal was always to find our own road, and to continue to keep the sounds and traditions of American Roots Music alive.

Bastard Sons of Johnny Cash - Highway Bound

The first vinyl release from Randm Records -   a 7" 45 single from Seattle based band My Goodness featuring "I'm Going Home" a cover of the classic track by The Sonics and an orginial, "In The Sun."

My Goodness is a Seattle-based blues/garage rock band that consists of Joel Schneider (Guitar/Vocals) and Andy Lum (Drums). After releasing their self-titled album in 2011, My Goodness was on hold for the majority of 2012, but with the recent addition of Andy Lum it has found a renewed purpose, moving forward with a heavier, more aggressive sound. Straddling the line between raw and refined, My Goodness doesn’t sacrifice technical precision in the name of punk rock - they strive to marry both.

As an older teen Joel’s interest in punk and the local Seattle hardcore scene led him to the more caustic, progressive sounds of bands like Rites of Spring and The Blood Brothers. The latter was also a major influence on Andy, who regularly attended all-ages gigs in Bellevue, drawing inspiration from bands big on that circuit, including Waxwing and These Arms Are Snakes.

In early 2012, Schneider was in search of a new drummer for My Goodness, and the possibility of collaborating musically with Andy Lum was finally realized. The pair recently recorded their second full length at Seattle’s London Bridge studios with esteemed Seattle producer Rick Parashar (Pearl Jam, Temple Of The Dog, Blind Melon) and have released a 7-inch for “Cold Feet Killer” b/w “I’ve Got A Notion” in February of this year.
