I met the Groovewell boys 10 years ago through, you guessed it, the club. We became fast friends, myself just starting out as a young dj coming up through a sober 6am party called Morning Gloryville. Jake, Chris, Victor and Angel were loyal attendees as we discovered both ourselves and San Francisco, figuring out where we belonged so to speak. Soon enough we started playing parties together and lifting each other up wherever we could. I always exclaimed my proud mamma status as they gained popularity and their sound evolved. 

Skip forward to June 17th where I was featured in their limited block at their own party baby, Kamp Around and Find Out, where I found myself only wanting to make THEM proud and not the other way around.

Love you boys, and love you Never Sleep Again. I certainly kamped around and found out but hope I made you proud.

“As the evenings draw in and autumn looms we move away from the suns warmth and head inside to ready the room for someone else. This mix was something that I put together whilst going through tracks for the warm-up set I played for the Luke Una E-Soul Culturà night at Pikes last month, it’s a little loose in some places but I kinda like that as it reminds me of the night…which was pretty loose all round"

This was the first ever sunrise set at DISTRIKT and our first visit to DISTRIKT.
Together with everybody who was present, we had a musical flight that took off in pitch black darkness and soared into the rising orange sun. It was a unique experience and certainly one we’ll never forget. Thank you for dancing and sharing this moment together!
