Playing around with the prototype of the 2015 Tau edition by Random*Source - built with 10 super-matched, low noise THAT300 transistor arrays. The build is an (early) attempt of a +/-12V adaption, but was run mostly on +/-15V during recording(!) with messy preliminary wiring and not really calibrated, so it may sound/behave different from a properly built +/-15V (or correctly modified 12V version). Anyway, I hope it still gives an idea of what 20 poles sound like ...

Some cinematic sounds made with a Serge NTO for Eurorack driven by logic and a Microbrute (CV / GATE out). NTO run through a Serge VCFQ into a Random*Source Stereo Mixer. Slopes courtesy of Serge DSG mk2. Recorded with a Metric Lio 8. Cut and layered in logic. And yes, reverb was added ;-)

Soundcloud compression seems to have quite a negative impact here, download 24 bit/96 kHz files to get the full sound.
