Dancefloor shaman Barac joins the ranks of our label. His signature sound has accompanied us on countless night-time adventures already, providing a unique space of mind to lose ourselves in. Here, we’re treated to three slowly unfurling pieces, each approaching the mental plane on its own terms. „Beyond The Gates, They Were Free” spreads over the full A-side. Drop the needle for a playful affair, with lush modulations calling back to the glory days of goa trance. It’s a mesmerising track, geared towards renewing the heady communal experiences we’ve come to miss. The flip side takes us further still, with two stripped-back and deeply dubbed workouts: „I Shall Not Be Taken” homes in on Barac’s inimitable sonicalia, seamlessly fusing the psychedelic with the sublime. „The Fall Of Man” closes things out in fine style, as a sidewinding drum circle entrenches itself into our minds with each rotation. Not to be taken lightly, this one.

Red Axes make a triumphant return to Phantasy with a further trio of expertly-crafted leftfield club tracks. Having produced several of the label’s best-loved club moments such as ‘Sipoor’ and ‘Sound Test’, the Israeli duo easily surpass their charismatic reputation across ‘Some Lights’.

‘Some Lights’ stomps forward to reveal the footprints of a rave giant, yet, even Red Axes at their most anthemic unfold the unexpected. Bleary-eyed chords stretch wistfully into the far-distance, as a male voice compounds the mood; “Sunrise”. Suddenly, the Axes pull the rug and reveal the howling club wolf hidden behind the sheep’s dress code, plunging dancers into a heavy trip of vintage rave chords and EBM-drum play.

The more psychedelically inclined will meanwhile find plenty to embrace in the wide, kaleidoscopic canyons of ‘Skulls’, a deeper-still groove machine that conjures up images of untamed sonic plains, Morricone-esque chords unexpectedly synthesised with psychobilin. Finally, ‘Professor Grasstov’ finds the duo loosening up into more playful form still, dragging the good name of this notable academic on a loose, breaks'y trip full of baggy energy (and complete with audible liquid experiments).

Creator of the cover releases for our 9th release with the help of Brazilian model, Marta Bez.

The 3 song compilation is produced by Dük a Lebanese music producer based out of Montreal, Canada.

For this release, we’ve featured NYC based photographer Abi Polinsky who is also the artist and creator of the EP covers. 

Taken at his studio in Chelsea Manhattan, Abi had created his own interpretation of Dük's songs through his photography to create the cover of each song with the collaboration from Brazilian model, Marta Bez. 

The main cover is an illustration made by our in house designer, Maf On Tropics. Maf was inspired by Duk’s lebanese heritage throughout her creative process. 

We are happy to see the results of a beautiful illustration that represents where duk’s from with inclusion of the photographs taken by our 9th featured artist, Abi Polinsky.

This is a repress of some of his tracks written in the 2000s.
Influences between synth-pop and electroclash make him one of the most important artists of this genre.
