About the mix Sybil said:

“For this mix I wanted to capture the icy freshness of January, a month filled with new energy, bright skies, and winter’s introspection. Inspired by a trip in the mountains: cold alpine air, glittering snow, and vast expanses of rock nestled amongst forests of pine trees. I also wanted to bring the sonic feeling of my Deep Mind Music (https://soundcloud.com/deep-mind-music) mixes into a techno format. A mix for daytime deepness, spiralling upwards on a shimmering journey through the sky.”

Me and Ben thought it would be fun to play a long DJ set together at Globus, the upstairs floor at Tresor in Berlin. 
We last played together (as Frequency 7) in May 2013. This time we played a ‘back to back’ DJ set, I’m pretty sure playing 2 tracks each for the whole six and a half hour set. All we had in mind beforehand was to start with some Dub and ‘see where it goes’. 

It was a lot of fun so we wanted to share the recording with you.

The recording is from a night at Ohm back in March put on by Kontinuum and New World Dysorder. I remember feeling so comfortable with the space and the crowd who were up for good sound system pushing fun going freely through everything from d&b and elektro to freetek and jungle. Feed Your Head is a conceptual mix I made based on scattered memories and dreams. The shift in voices & sounds represents different cycles of consciousness & realities. Best listened to late at night or on a rainy day.

The mix features a bunch of forthcoming music from my labels and some new edits of my own, as well as a host of favourites. Tracks included span from the early 90’s up until around last week, with exclusive material from Tom VR, Mauv, Closet Yi & a bunch more. With recent times in mind, I wanted to make the mix as transportive an experience as possible, built out via 8 segments with each taking you to a different place. You can expect to hear some house, garage, trance, jungle, drum & bass, as well as a load of percussive bits and some balearic leaning ambient as well as a couple classic acapellas hidden between the cracks.
