This one's not like OTHER candy forests, just like how I'M not like OTHER girls.  For one thing, I'm not a girl.  I also used a stylophone in this track because I thought it would be fun.  It is.

An emptier, simpler song for empty simpler times.  Like a retro title screen.  That's the kind of vibe I'm looking to give off with this one.  Also has a cool melody.

Soul... 2!  It was so great that it warranted a sequel.  At least, the movie definitely does.

This is something I've wanted to make ever since 2016, but I didn't have the resources to make it until recently.  I managed to acquire the Engineer Edition stems and recreated the main melody bits myself.

Okay, ACTUAL commentary time:
This one is one of those tracks that has taken somewhere around a year to get where I want it to be, more or less just off-and-on tweaking and whatnot.  On top of that, it went through a good handful of iterations before then.  In the end though, BALLS?! did, in fact, get made.  I kinda envisioned Megalomania (from Live A Live) vibes combined with old-school Capcom arcade fighting games.

Taking a brief detour from Chaos Survivors tracks back into classic LRRS territory, I originally made "Confronting the Cult of Scoob" (internal name) around early-middle 2023 (I created the project file on New Year's Eve of the year prior!) as a climactic song for the ending of the game. Now, was the game anywhere near the ending yet? Definitely not. But nonetheless, I was pleased with how it turned out at the time. 

Fast forward to 2025, a lot of stuff happens in between then and now, but what's pertinent to this description right now is that I ended up revisiting the cult of Scoob (that's a weird sentence to say with no context) and felt like redoing the instruments a bit for whatever reason. That happens, and I keep it on my hard drive in my dragon's hoard of project files I should really get around to doing something with... and do something I did. 

Halloween (that's the day I'm uploading this!), I made some more adjustments, exported the song as an audio file, and uploaded it here! I hope you all enjoy it, and maybe you'll hear it in LRRS once that game finally comes out in full.
