He bent the truth with slippery hands,
Left footprints deep in shifting sands.
I lost the trail, but heard his bark,
A growlllll that echoed through the park.
“Don’t chase cologne,  wind always wins...”

My boy won’t stop growling around him,
Every howl a warning, every bark a sin.
Tail up, teeth out, -pacing the floor,
“He'll eat your heart and still want more.”

He hummed in tongues the dead still reap,
Sold promises he wouldn't keep.
spun dark illusions, dressed in fur
And still his charms, they work on her.....
“Don’t believe the spell, it won't end well....”

I tried to shush him-
 bribes and bones,
my boy don’t lie about unknowns
his howl’s a truth I can’t defer
Now we all  see  force majeure!!

My boy won’t -stop- growling -around him-,
Guardian ghost with  iron skin.
No spell, no kiss, no clever demur he 
just don't, just
won’t stop…

daily classes and  drama queens
Tamagotchis and store bought rings-
CD bootlegs drinking gin
couldn't wait to get out again....

All our glitches made us human
