Here's a really crap quality recording I made (with my MacBookPro's built-in mic) of a kind of dirty practice session from September of 2009.  It's been a long time since I posted anything new... so I decided to throw this up.  It's of course not a new recording, but since I don't have my theremin with me at the moment. (It's in another part of the country) this is the best thing I could dig up on my computer that has never really been heard before, and that I deemed just slightly above the too crappy to upload level.  Hope you find some joy in listening.

This is the second recording I published after embarking on the epic quest to master the most challenging instrument in the world, the theremin.   This file was dated June 5, 2006 which was about four months after I first learned of the existence of the theremin and began playing it.

Since I originally published it for 'listening only' on Myspace .com, since it has been 10 years, and since there is a good possibility that not many people have ever heard it, I'm publishing it again for amusement, historical value on Soundcloud. Cheers.

This recording was made to complete the CD of my Senior Recital for the degree requirements of my Bachelor of Music Performance. 

The original performance of this piece on my Senior Recital at the University of North Texas College of Music in the Spring of 2001 was something else. I felt it was the best performance I have ever made of anything I had ever played in my whole life. It was unfortunately not recorded because I forgot to hit the record button after the short intermission. Because I had to record this piece separately, I added applause to the end. It was recorded in the same hall, just with no people in in. The air definitely feels different with an audience.

The rarely performed Concertino written by French composer Marcel Bitsch in 1948 is among the most technically demanding pieces in the entire bassoon repertoire.
