This song was inspired by the anticipation of getting home to my girl. I have been married for 34 years to my sweetheart and this is similar to what my proposal was. I knew I needed to ask her to marry me and I had to see her at that moment.

We all go through times that we are just depressed and beat down, whether it be from work or relationships. This song brings encouragement that Love will always bring you back. Even though we sometimes fight it, it will push through. And yes the sky is heavy and sometimes we carry more than we should. Hope you enjoy this song.

I am a Songwriter from Alabama. These are all the songs that I have written that are not under contract. My very first song was “Summertime Shine” and I did the vocals on it as well as “Wake up America”. The other demos have (Hunter Welton) doing the vocals as well as others.
