Known for his innovative style and captivating sets, DJ/producer and Koltrax imprint boss Kolter continues to carve out a distinct sound within Germany’s thriving music scene. His expansive repertoire spans classic house, modern techno, electro, and funk, featuring releases on labels like Aus Music, PIV, and Solid Grooves, along with his recent collaboration with Luuk van Dijk, ‘Good 4 U’, on Three Six Zero, which has already amassed nearly half a million plays on Spotify. Fresh off his BBC Radio 1-backed ‘15 Seconds Of Fame’, he now adds another prestigious label to his roster and steps out on Hot Creations for the first time with ‘Red Alert’, unleashing a triple offering of high-energy rhythms. 

Both vintage and futuristic, ‘Red Alert’ is a punchy blend of electro and old-school house with cutting off-kilter additions. The playful sample-led ‘She Wants Bass’ follows up next, maintaining pace with kicking hi-hats anchored to a grooving, head-bopping bassline. Defex, the Bavarian-Ibizencan wildcat and long-time underground force, returns to Poker Flat with a monster of a track.

The story began when Defex sent an instrumental track to Steve Bug, the driving bassline already giving it the working title “Zaxndi” – Bavarian slang roughly translating to “what the hell” (a local spin on “Sacre dieu”). Bug instantly signed it but suggested a male vocal might take it to the next level. 

Defex didn’t have to think twice and called on Maniac, one of Bavaria’s most distinctive rappers, who delivered with razor-sharp verses full of playful word twists, including his lyrical play on “rash giving” – decisive like an allergy. 
The result is a ferocious hybrid of raw house energy, a mad bassline and a fearless rap, a track that balances club-ready intensity with wild charisma, while the instrumental version provides DJs with a more direct tool for the floor.
