I wrote this song during his first term, and at the time I thought it was cringe. Three months into his second term I realized its time had come. Three months later, I realized it was already too late. Drums were recorded the day he signed the executive order criminalizing flag burning for federal employees. I was editing this song in the fallout of the Charlie Kirk assassination and the administration's move to start actively censoring broadcasters. The importance of this song for America today is not in the music or the lyrics, but in the words of Abraham Lincoln's Lyceum Address, echoing through time with a prescient warning for all Americans.

At what point shall we expect the approach of danger? By what means shall we fortify against it?-- Shall we expect some transatlantic military giant, to step the Ocean, and crush us at a blow? Never!--All the armies of Europe, Asia and Africa combined, with all the treasure of the earth in their military chest; with a Bonaparte for a commander, could not by force, take a drink from the Ohio, or make a track on the Blue Ridge, in a trial of a thousand years.
