Ranidu is recognized around the world as the pioneer of electronic music in Sri Lanka. He has released three platinum-selling albums and has performed in 15 countries, including a performance at the Sydney Opera House.  He was also the first ever Sri Lankan artist to perform at Ultra Music Festival and Coachella.

Last year, Ranidu introduced his newest venture – Bailatronic – to the world with its debut EP.  Bailatronic is a new genre that Ranidu created by combining Baila, the folk dance music of Sri Lanka, and various styles of modern electronic dance music.  After gaining the support of the worlds top DJs including Steve Aoki, Carnage, Tommy Sunshine, Firebeatz, Zane Lowe and Nihal (BBC Radio1) , Yasser (BBC Asian network) and releasing remixes with support on major EDM publications, Ranidu will release Bailatronic Vol 2 on September 9, 2014 via Indie-Pop.
