Ricardo Piedra - Cosmic Snowball (Original Mix)

As we continue our schedule of exceptional releases from exceptional artists, we welcome another, and this is yet another of the firsts for us at Pro B Tech Music.

Here we welcome Essco with his EP Master Exploder, joining Essco are two outstanding remixes/remixers, namely Audioglider and Forty Cats.

Kicking things off is the first of two originals, Jah from Essco,

Jah, is a proper chunky progressive number, right from the off it kicks hard,
A tough 4/4 Kick and dark rumbling bassline make this one move, it feels dark, it feels like one for the dark, low-ceiling dance floors, and this keeps on moving bringing in more melodic elements through the 4-minute mark, We love this.

Next up and the first of the two remixers, is one of our favourite producers right now, we welcome for the first and hopefully not the last Forty Cats, Forty takes on Jah and brings her very own feel and groove to this. What we have here is a slightly lighter, using more of the melodic sections of the original whilst keeping the 4/4 drive, As we are taken to the 3-minute mark you are introduced to a stunning break. This is a masterpiece and yes we love it

Next, we welcome back Audioglider, and as always he produces a stunning piece of Broken Progressive beats with his take on Jah. At the start, we are treated to the stripped-back sounds of the original with solid breaks moving this on, as we get to around the 2-minute mark we are introduced to melodic pads and the use of the vocal throughout that work perfectly. This is another masterpiece, in my opinion, Yes we love it!!
Last up is the second original from Essco, Master Exploder, This is another no-nonsense proper dancefloor disrupter, as with Jah he uses a tough kick that you know is gonna Explode!! At the one-minute mark, you get the first teasing breakdown that starts to introduce more layers to this track, you start to get the drive behind this one around the 2:20min mark which builds toward the main breakdown, which is an absolute stormer, before boom back at it.

We have had this EP in preparation for some time but good things come to those who wait, we believe this is huge and well worth the wait

The latest release from the founder of the ATJE label offers a reflection on music as a means of escape from daily life and therapy through challenging life periods, while also teasing his upcoming album featuring tracks from this release.

Opening with "Febra", Ljekaj captures a state of overwhelm and sluggishness through warm bass lines that gradually build to an emotional peak. Saturated pulsating rhythms and crisp sounds create a balancing contrast, evoking cinematic imagery of train station bells or poignant moments in a humid, working atmosphere. "Febra" is a brilliant slow burner with a rich sound that generates unique tension.

In contrast, "Terapiya" introduces a rhythmic sense of renewal and return to balance. The track brims with energy and life, featuring a dynamic rhythm and expansive synth sequences that paint a vivid sonic landscape. The unexpected entry of piano, like a refreshing breeze on a hot summer day, adds a surprising element, enriching the composition and highlighting Ljekaj's creativity. 

Andrea Ljekaj experiments with deep atmospheres, warm basslines, and intricate synth patterns, crafting a unique fusion of genres including trip hop, jazz, electronica, dubstep, and house. With a focus on drums and bass, his production brings spontaneous moments with random sounds that enrich the compositions. This release not only offers a musical experience but also tells a personal story, providing listeners with an emotional and therapeutic journey through music. As the fourth release on the ATJE label, "Terapiya" continues Ljekaj's experimental musica l vision, reaffirming recognition through awards and nominations from previous releases.

Having grown up to the sounds of late 70's and early 80's Jazz Funk and Electro as well as European electronica Ranj ended up with quite a mixed bag of musical tastes.

His first foray into professional DJing started in 1986 when he started playing at various Rank Leisure venues in South London and Surrey.

After being poached by European Leisure in 1992 he went on to be resident DJ at the hugely successful Pure nights in St Albans till 1996 which led to playing at various nights at Ministry Of Sound, Turnmills, Bagley's, EC1 club, Club UK and The Cross. As well as that he also ran Creative Sounds record shop in Kingston Surrey.

After spending 15 years as resident Dj at the world-famous gentleman's club, Stringfellows, and following the start of the global pandemic, Ranj thought the time was right to start making music for himself and took to it like a duck to water. What followed over the next two years was a string of releases on labels such as Capital Heaven, Pangea, ARRVL, Crossfade Sounds to name but a few and his music has also won him support from the likes of Francois K, Guy Gerber, Alex Neri, Nick Warren, Terry Farley plus many more.
