Hello Everyone, and welcome to the midweek bump that is our exclusive Progcast! We fly you  first class around Planet Progressive every week, on the hunt for the best beats we can find, strap in for another belter! 

We are back in the UK today, and back at the home of one of our favourites. Since returning to the scene a few years ago, conquering the online business,  its great to see her getting LIVE gigs again too.. Make some noise for LYNSEY!

Lynsey started her journey into dance music in the early 90’s after friends took her to V44 in Mansfield. The night was Renaissance and from the start she loved the progressive house sound. Lynsey was also a regular at The Orbit, Morley, Ark and Soak in Leeds, while also working in a record shop.

After a 5 year break having and raising a son, Lynsey returned to the music world in 2018, her love of all things Progressive House having returned also. A friend she met through nights out encouraged her to get back behind the decks and that’s where her new, and growing, following started.

She is known for building lush sets that meander seamlessly through Progressive house and breaks, so effortlessly that she always take her listeners on a journey. This is the ethos of YANA, to invite DJ’s to join her on her Subcode show that she's met on her own musical journey.

YANA is a Hebrew word that means journey or some might say spiritual path. The show, and now the events are put together to include all sounds across the Progressive spectrum, for the love of the music, without ego's through having headliners. Lynsey programmes her mixes and DJs to flow musically rather than just booking the big names that everyone looks for. 

Lynsey is now a resident DJ on Subcode, with her monthly 6 hour Yana show, which has now branched out into live gigs! You can catch her at two shows soon, in London & Huddersfield, details for which are on the link at the bottom of this bio..

Having grown up to the sounds of late 70's and early 80's Jazz Funk and Electro as well as European electronica Ranj ended up with quite a mixed bag of musical tastes.

His first foray into professional DJing started in 1986 when he started playing at various Rank Leisure venues in South London and Surrey.

After being poached by European Leisure in 1992 he went on to be resident DJ at the hugely successful Pure nights in St Albans till 1996 which led to playing at various nights at Ministry Of Sound, Turnmills, Bagley's, EC1 club, Club UK and The Cross. As well as that he also ran Creative Sounds record shop in Kingston Surrey.

After spending 15 years as resident Dj at the world-famous gentleman's club, Stringfellows, and following the start of the global pandemic, Ranj thought the time was right to start making music for himself and took to it like a duck to water. What followed over the next two years was a string of releases on labels such as Capital Heaven, Pangea, ARRVL, Crossfade Sounds to name but a few and his music has also won him support from the likes of Francois K, Guy Gerber, Alex Neri, Nick Warren, Terry Farley plus many more.
