Over the last two decades, Fengler developed a versatile and dynamic style of DJing that made him one of the first resident DJs of Berlin’s infamous Berghain / Panorama Bar in 2005. With his impressive intuition for the very moment, Fengler is capable of changing pace, atmosphere, and energy reacting to the mood on the dance floor: whether industrial-drenched hardness, broken beats, gloomy dubs or melodic and funky grooves – next to his inimitable instinct, Fengler draws from a varied repertoire. The approach of allowing to drift away within the momentum also applies to his first singles as a producer on such labels like Ostgut Ton and Mote Evolver. In later years he has remained active, constantly on the rise, forming part of labels such as Truncate, Be As One Imprint, CLR, Pure Sonik, ANAØH and RSPX. He has gained support by such artists as Chris Liebing, Truncate, Radio Slave, Ben Sims, The Advent, Mark Broom, Honey Dijon and DVS1. With these crisp and intoxicating tracks, Richards Jr has confirmed his status, both locally and internationally, and has successfully managed to showcase his unique style and strengths.strengths

The DifferentSound Podcast #299 welcomes Jon Hussey! Jon Hussey is one of the true pioneers of the Irish Techno scene and has now been playing for three decades since the inception of his Planet Dub night at Dublin's legendary Columbia Mills club. This mix is a recording of a recent set Jon played for Basement Project’s night in Cuba, Galway as part of a special event celebrating his years of playing Techno! It's a real showcase of his style, weaving tracks from past, present and future spanning his deep knowledge of Techno grooves, while always embedding blueprint tracks from the history vaults in his sets, threading his underground roots and connecting some of today’s classier Techno productions.  Lock in for the journey spanning through deeper atmospheric Techno, Electro, Acid and heavy percussive Techno workouts. Jon Hussey has previously released productions with fellow great Techno DJ friend Sunil Sharpe as part of a joint project under the moniker 'Tricaustic' with “the Caustophobic Pressure EP” on Komisch, further tracks on RLSD Records, Earwiggle, Ceili tracks, Deliquent Delivery, Circuit Structure Records and most recently on Netherlands based label R3volution Records with a track on Viktims Vol.1 various artist EP. On the DJing front Jon has played in many Techno havens throughout these years including Amsterdam, London, Bratislava, Berlin, Leeds, Turin, New York and more.

WeMe035 François de Roubaix & Bernard Maitre "Le labyrinthe des Onix" EP

In 1972 Francois de Roubaix and Bernard Maitre composed together the music of a TV series for children presented by puppets, called the Onix. The musical oddity here released by WeMe Records is a part of this OST. This piece of music demonstrates once again that Francois de Roubaix was in touch with all kinds of music of his time, including contemporary music. In this experimental track we can feel the influences of the composer Pierre Henry, an other explorer of unknown sounds.
 On the B side Jodey Kendrick makes his own interpretation of this music with current tech and sounds while keeping the atmosphere and fantasy of the original sound.
 Attention "Non music" !

I was lucky enough to play a 4.5 hour DJ set at the Cocoon Lounge stage at Rainbow Serpent Festival this year on Sunday morning from 2:30am til 7:00am. This is the final two and a quarter hours of the set recorded live at the festival. This was easily one of my favourite DJing experiences of 12 years on the job and I had a really great time. 
I truly hope you enjoy the journey :-)

Listen here to the seventh hour of my 10h set that I played for my birthday in 2014 at the legendary Output Club in Brooklyn. 

How I miss DJing in clubs, in front of all of you and how I miss Output Club and those special all night long nights that I usually did in December around my birthday. This set, which you will get hour by hour on a weekly basis now here on AMFM was one of the longer ones. Output had a very strict no picture policy, so there is no footage from inside the club, I only found one blurry picture from my birthday cake. I started at 11 pm as far as I remember and according to my recording I ended at 9 in the morning. Output was such a special place with an amazing sound system and DJ booth, it was always such a pleasure playing there. You always take things for granted as long as you have them. Output Club had to close down end of 2018. I was very sad then and somehow I am even more now, as these days seem so long ago and I have no idea when I get to do something similar again in NYC. I miss it. I miss the city and its people. I have always had a great relationship with NYC since I started to play there in the late 90’s for the legendary Monday nights at Sullivan Bar, organised by @christiansmith. Time goes by so fast, if we don’t learn to appreciate the moment more, it will all just become a faint memory. Stay healthy everyone and I really hope I will get to see you all on some dancefloor again. With over 20 years experience in all things Techno in Melbourne, Australia, Ranjit Nijjer has truly carved out his own unique piece of the city’s landscape as a promoter, DJ and more recently as a producer. His event Technoir has become an institution in Melbourne; an important Techno destination over its life of over 19 years, showcasing home made talent from across the full spectrum of Techno.
Ranjit’s DJ sets are full of energy and a delicate intensity, as he expertly layers and weaves high volumes of tracks to create a truly distinctive dance floor experience for Techno fans both young and old.
Whether it is deep, hypnotic, ethereal rhythms or relentless, pounding harder sounds (often tinged with his special brand of funk), Ranjit gives the dancefloor and the listener his all.
This passion and care has seen Ranjit consistently booked around town for many years now, including several appearances at the acclaimed Rainbow Serpent Festival.
2020 saw Ranjit begin releasing his own music, with multiple EPs on Australian Techno imprint ‘Machine’ and very quickly he has found himself with tracks on labels around the world.
