Since previous label hits ‘I Want You’ with Butch and ‘Vente’ with Callussa, Nic Fanciulli has continued to nurture his Saved imprint, releasing ‘Set Me Free’ with Robert Courtois, a future club classic and five-week Beatport No.1 still receiving consistent club play nearly a year later. Continuing to build his relationship with Defected, 2025 will see Fanciulli play the label’s Pacha Ibiza residency and both flagship festivals in Croatia and Malta. For his anticipated Defected return, ‘Hold On’, Fanciulli collaborates with celebrated crossover artist Marc E. Bassy. House fans will recognise Marc’s buttery smooth vocals from Louie Vega and The Martinez Brother’s seminal Defected favourite ‘Let It Go’. ‘Hold On’ also places Marc’s precise yet smooth San Fran sway front and centre, combining with Nic Fanciulli’s cool, metropolitan production to create a soon-to-be summer smash for the modern age.
