Tracce Di Luce is a sound dramaturgy and audio documentary composition that was created with recordings during a residency week in Castelnuovo Al Volturno. By collecting testimonials from the local community, I sought to explore the deep connections between the people, the village, and the hermetic lifestyle of Charles Moulin.

During low tide mussels and barnacles create prickling and bubbling sounds between the rocks on the beach.

A rolling continuous thunder with a few owls, crickets, drips and cracks in the fore and background. Recorded during summer 2024 from the balcony of an old house overlooking the Onsernone valley in Switzerland. The bells of Loco's church resonate throughout the valley and seem to announce the coming of intense rains and wind.

A flock of cows, horses and goats slowly grazes from left to right against the steep grassy mountain slope of Monte Marrone, Molise, Italy. The microphone is surrounded by grashoppers, bees and flies and has woodland on either side. Occasionally the wind intensifies.

Soundscape of Brussels

Governors is a modular sound installation and performance in which the interaction between the acoustic properties of a space and movement is made audible and tangible through the materiality of microphones. This interplay between sound, space, and movement creates a dynamic game of layered feedback. The installation and performance provide space for both collective listening and individual positioning of the audience. Visitors are invited to move through the space and create their own listening experience. This positioning and active participation in the listening process contribute to the emergence of evolving sound configurations and make it possible to explore different soundscapes. The project emphasizes the interaction between the physical space and acoustics, inviting a more conscious experience of sound in relation to the environment and the body. The result is a unique, ever-changing auditory experience that is both individually and collectively experienced.

Recorded during our 2022-2023 residency in 'Dingen Die Niet Verkopen' in Antwerp.

Governors

Part 1 of the music written for the dance performance 'For Blinky Palermo' choreographed by Marc Vanrunxt and Georgia Vardarou.

In 2010 there was the split-screen choreography For Edward Krasinski.
Two dancers simultaneously performed a solo created by two different choreographers and dedicated to the painter Krasinski. Today, Vanrunxt pays tribute to the avant-garde painter Blinky Palermo, this time together with Georgia Vardarou. Each of them writes a solo for a dancer and they place these simultaneously next to each other on stage, set to electronic compositions by Daniel Vanverre and Raphael Malfliet. Absurd and pure.

In 1973 American actor Marlon Brando won the academy award for his performance as Don Vito Corleone in what many consider to be the best movie of all time: The Godfather.
Instead of glorifying the image and lifestyle of a dominant patriarchal crime boss, whose portrait now decorates many walls of multiple pizza restaurants, people should be notified that Mr. Brando boycotted the Oscars event and instead asked Sacheen Littlefeather (president of the National Native American Affirmative Image Committee) to represent himself and to announce his refusal of the academy award as long as Hollywood and the film industry are presenting a negative and incorrect image of the American Indians and all other minority groups. The audience both booed and applauded Brando’s bold statement.
