The debut project from Atlanta based singer-songwriter Jenne$$y. Butterfly Effect is a story about finding and losing love in someone else but then gaining a newfound love within yourself. It starts with the intro "Blaze It" , which is about a girl inviting over her crush to spend some quality time and partake in some herb. Then it goes to "Fallback" which is about observing your crush beginning to act indecisive and wishy-washy in the situation, questioning if you should just leave that person alone if they aren't sure about you. "Love Grows" is about growing to really love another person and just wanting to express how they make you feel. Then there is an extended version of the hit single "Wasting" , with an additional verse added to the song. "Reasons" is about a relationship/situation ending and questioning the validity of the reasons for it ending and wondering why it had to end in the first place, followed by the other lead single "Unusual", which is about knowing your worth and not allowing anyone to treat you less than. And finally the EP ends off with "Henny & Patron" which is about just wanting to have fun, be carefree and wanting to love more yourself again after a heartbreak instead of focusing on loving someone else. The title "Butterfly Effect" is also a play on the story itself; revealing how something so small or simple, such as inviting over a crush to smoke, can end up having a big impact on our lives and ultimately can help shape us into the people we are destined to become.
