We consume and excrete, use and destroy. 
Then we sit here on a neat little pile of ashes, having squeezed anything of value out of this planet, and we ask ourselves, “Why are we here?”

Shadow Culture is the first release of Raphael Buenaventura after seven years of involvement as DJ and event producer in Berlin. The EP is touching deeper psychological issues related to humanity's quest for liberation, using the power of heavy bass and distorted drums and mind-bending synths, drawing influences from industrial and rave culture that shaped his view on music as a motor for change in society and lead to first experimental productions in the late 90ies.

“Ocean of Tears” is a deep and dubby track about the suppressed pain of man and the ocean of tears that is released when hidden psychological layers are touched and pain surfaces. Structures become fragile but with its uplifting house elements, the liberation and great freedom that this creates are also hinted.
