The brainchild of Swedish sound architect, Cari Lekebusch, H-Productions has come to be known the world-over as a label that is synonymous with the evergreen nature of the techno scene. Often credited with serving as the stimulation to a generation of producers in the early 1990ʼs, the labelʼs output mirrors the creative attributes of its founder; earning a reputation as a diverse and evolutionary force within techno thanks to the steady stream of quality productions that collectively make up an enviable back catalogue; an inspirational and varied collection of techno that will pass the one hundred releases milestone during 2013 - the labelʼs ninetieth anniversary.
Even to the most novice observers it would seem obvious to state that Germany was the leading country for Techno. While it is certainly true that crowds of producers and punters have flocked to Berlin in recent times, no other country can claim to have absorbed the Techno sound as deeply, and the reality is that this obsession has not occurred overnight but is in fact the result of a decades long, nationwide love affair with the mechanical grooves and jackhammer beats that characterize the genre. Out of this most unique of scenes comes two complete techno addicts from opposite ends of the country - the emerging talent of Stuttgartʼs Raphael Dincsoy and the seasoned Berlin producer, Pierre Deutchmann.
Raphael Dincsoy and Pierre Deutchmann combine for a debut on H-Productions that sees the pair lay down two neatly measured tracks that subtly combine funk and force in equal measure. AWG-50 sets the pace with its distinctive rhythms and purring sub bass while V8 ramps up the tension with its undulating bass and nasty stabs. H-Productions very own Cari Lekebusch turns in remixes of both originals, flipping them into king sized portions of super-charged trademark trippy Techno.
