Raised in the Irish raving party scene, now relocated in Newcastle, Ben Prophet is one of the talents to keep an eye on.

His "Hyper Funk EP" perfectly represents his dominant sounds and the main track style, mixing gritty, piercing drums with fragmented sounding vocals and drums to create a raw blend of techno-induced beats. 

The remix of Tommy 2000 gives a DnB touch to the EP, rolling drums and crumbling sounds command the sound of his re-interpretation. 

The other tracks "GTFB", "In Too Deep" and "Get Up And Dance" are three speedy raw techno dancefloor-oriented tracks, three useful weapons if you need something to use to burn your soundsystem!

The four-tracker showcases the producer’s ability to switch styles while keeping his signature NYC and Brooklyn-inspired sound with a techno/raw-tech twist. 
The EP kicks off with “Can We Really Die”: a floor-filling hard dance track made to move your body, an absolute gem with a trippy vocal.
"Movement" gives you that dancefloor euphoria, with a few effective elements that make this track a total banger.
"Roof Access" is 90s-inspired, with its warm chords built to perfection over a swinging groove - this isn’t one to sleep on.
Rounding out the EP is “Severe Storm Warning": a mesmerising listening journey with loads of breakbeat and electro energy.
