Jamaican born rapper Raphic Simms, from the cool hills of Happy Grove in St Elizabeth Jamaica via the
Robin Hood City of Nottingham England, infuses reggae rhythms with gospel and dancehall with ease and
fluidity, combining his love of Bob Marley, 2Pac Shakur, Beenie Man and Biggie Smalls into his own brand of
pop reggaeton.
Raphic moved to England at the age of seventeen and got a degree in Automotive Engineering before
following his musical passions. Working at a factory building fruit machines to fund his recordings and playing
gigs in the evenings, Raphic started gaining exposure on the Midlands club scene.
The buzz caught the attention of Beenie Man who invited him on tour across Europe and the Caribbean. An
energetic performer, Raphic delivered his sexually loaded lyrics with invention and humour, endearing himself
to thousands in the process.
Raphic's debut single ‘Shake It’ is out on The Animal Farm on the 21st of July 2017.
