The Aeon EP on Cre8Dnb is a debut for rising star L3mmy. Having already garnered support from some of the scene’s biggest tastemakers, whether that’s at Creamfields through the sure-fire set of SaSaSaS, or through Hedex’s platform at the notorious Rampage festival in Belgium, the package’s central track ‘Aeon’ has been making itself felt it sets across the globe. And following the explosion of this EP’s drop, he’ll then go on to produce his own take on Cre8’s Cre8#single series, featuring his own stellar talent on the twelve part release.

However, the ‘Aeon’ EP acts as a perfect stepping stone. It shows to Cre8’s fan base what L3mmy represents as an artist and pedestals the no-holds-barred aggression which is streamlined into all his sonic sounds. L3mmy certainly goes in for the kill, which is shown by the beginning track ‘Aeon’. As previously mentioned, it’s already been doing the rounds and for good reason; its cutting drum patterns, tearaway bassline and neck-breaking peaks drag you down into murky depths. ‘Happy Pills’ follows the same sequences which make its predecessor so cutting. Crackling layers of sub bass add to the record’s weighty LFOs , creating a soundscape which fully submerges you under its power. This recoils through the full composition and bit by bit you become acutely aware of just how destructive L3mmy’s power continues to be throughout the track listing. Next up, ‘Hunted’ pulls no punches in its assault, becoming just as hard-hitting, but slightly more minimal in its breakdowns. Ticking percussion flows through the mix whilst the track displays a more diverse style from the producer. ‘Neurostar’ rounds off the collection from L3mmy, which highlights a techier underbite. The track explodes into chaos as you’re taken along into an almighty drop, one which drags you straight through its core before you settle into a manic soundscape.

The ‘Aeon’ EP is a full-spectrum look at L3mmy’s skills and shows the route which he’ll be taking as his career continues its ascent. With help from independent labels such as Cre8Dnb, it’s looking to be a bright future for L3mmy. He’s another artist which they’ve brought into their groundbreaking roster.

T & Sugah have been raising their profile continuously for the past few years, with stellar releases on Liquicity and Viper Recordings, as well as prolific output for their own label High Tea. Dualistic on the other hand has been drawing more attention to himself with vocal contributions to several other artists’ music, but also adds to the production values on this one. The teaming up of the threesome is a perfect example of 1 plus 1 equals 3, as the main vocal, the samples, the riffs and the drop all exhale power and energy and make for an excellent listening experience as well as devastating dancefloor impact. Once we are all allowed back in clubs and at festivals, expect this to be one of the tracks that have you throwing your hands up!
