Would the first fight of the run be against Papyrus, then ? Original

After playing Prodeus for a bit I again felt inspired to write something. The result is something like a suite of 3 different tracks outlining the 3 different emotions I experienced when playing and watching the game. 

The first part is the classic "cyber"-sci fi esthetic with it's futuristic landscapes and tone. The second section draws on the science fiction romance of old, like a Jerry Goldsmith piece (in my mind, at least) from the 70's TV show or some such. The third act is all slaughter and brutality.

The idea behind Placed Bets originally came a little while after having played Deltarune Chapter 1, wondering what a hypothetical fight against Lancer would be like if, as Lancer stated in (I think) his introduction, he truly was "the bad guy", much like the title his father would proudly wield. This song (and its predecessors) explores what would happen if King weren't around to be the bad guy, and all of the responsibility to handle the Lightners fell upon Lancer. So before any of you start making comments about it, no, this is NOT supposed to be a Weird Route thing. So please don't try and treat it as such.

It's been closer to 5 years at this point since I made the original Placed Bets, and one year fewer since I'd made v2. Suffice to say, it's been a while since I've revisited it, it's certainly been long enough to justify it. I've been in a particular remaster-y mood lately, so expect some "classics" (in other words, weird remaster choices) in the future!!

This is the battle theme for "Bernie". It belongs to my interpretation of Chapter 6 set in the Town Festival. The chapter's name is "Festive Bonanza".

Bernie is a bear plushie (from those that you can win in carnivals as prizes). His name is a combination of "Bear" + "Carnie".
Asriel won Bernie in one of the town festival games and gave it to Dess as a gift. Unfortunately, Dess at one point before leaving forgot about taking the plushie and left it at the park, making Bernie end up in the "Lost and Found" section. After years of waiting, weathering and an awakening from the dark fountain, Bernie realises that Dess is nowhere to be found.

Although the whole "something discarded" thing seems very forward with this concept, I like to imagine that Bernie's twist is that he COULDN'T be discarded as items in "Lost and Found" have to remain there, undiscarded, until somebody takes them. In his case, he had to escape.

Aftergore is a series of AUs taking place after Undertale's neutral endings, in which a new human enters in Frisk's wake.
Aftergore CDIV, the Impossible/Dirty Hacker ending, details an ending in which a curious player messes with code to make a certain boss both dead and alive at the same time. The results are...illogical. Humans are to be treated as threats to the timeline above all else, and that is a crime punishable by death.
If you're curious on the AU name, all the Aftergores are numbered with Roman numerals. "CDIV" translates to "404."

Sans takes his own role, so this is a new Megalo for the lazybones himself. If you thought he was capable of cheap tricks in normal UT, wait 'til you see what he can do now.

Thank you all for 400 followers! We figured this would be the perfect 400 follower special because:
1. It's 2x the followers we had for SPEICIDE, which is the other Aftergore variant where Sans keeps his role
2. We can call it a 404 follower special. We only get that chance once!

We went for a more "typical" Megalo approach this time around, since it seemed fitting to a more futuristic Sans. Not our usual MO, we know.
I'd like to personally thank each and every one of you for getting us where we are now. I didn't know if this account would take off due to its lack of Megalos, but I'm very happy with how we've been faring. We're keeping the daily uploads going for a while, so get hyped for an amazing 2021. Here's to 400 more!
