Longtime festival friend of the crew, @Driftwoodbeats has been spotted with Light Twerkerz beard-bathing aboard a bootyful yacht, dancing in the woods, and moving serious air DJing at underground sound system parties around BC. Recently he’s been upping his original music production output and we are hear for this!

Our eleventh LiT MIX showcases Driftwood’s original productions and remixes amidst a blistering hour of future bass vibes spanning dancehall, trap and grime,  dubstep and halftime. A Live Freestyle Jam session from DJ Snuze and MC Shureshock in Byron Bay for the Full Course event. Been meaning to jam with this fella for a while when i stepped up at Elements festival to line check , hearing the wicked set being thrown down and as i poked my head round stage he handed me a mic and we jammed back to back. It's rare the free flow energy between mc's is can be fluid and electric but when it is it's worth following. Post set we decided to do it again and this is the recording for you to enjoy !! Big respect to Snuze for the dope selection and mad freestyles. The first of many things to come :)

Neshima's flow is like an energetic river, carrying you from the city streets up into the clouds, down into the jungles of South America, and out to the deserts of the Middle East. Sound can become a teleportation device, if you breathe it in deep enough.

While this set is genre bending and resists being defined, within you will find elements of organic slow house, andes step, deep house, trip-hop, jungle-glitch, and psychedelic bass.

DJ’ing to me is sonic photosynthesis. The space and crowd put out a vibe, which I inhale that and try my best to breathe back out in sonic form.

Music has always been a life long obsession. Having been involved in the music industry for years, persistently scouring the earth for fresh and inspiring music, I feel I’ve become a bit of a librarian of sorts. With DJ’ing I have found a way to channel my knowledge and passion for our ever evolving music scene. It is with the greatest pleasure that I present to you my findings.
