The Story of Inner Exodus tells about God's deliverance from the imprisoned mind of an upcoming artist. Throughout the project 99 APEX shares his struggles with mental health as an artist, career wise and personally. Through it all, the Lord uses his experiences to impart moral themes and lessons to 99 APEX and many others. This album is a documentation of his life when he was going through and coming out of a season of depression. In the end, this project is a testament to people in the arts that God can deliver you from your doubts in your career and life in general. It also is an encouragement that God did not give those talents or desires for no reason.

I've always had to hold my emotions behind the curtains of my persona and this song is the first time I address all the pain I was holding inside due to unforgiveness. The grief in this song is how I chose to finally rid myself of bitterness and ask God to help me heal from the victimization I faced.

This song signifies the blurred lines of how our egos can get in the way God's plans. Is 99 APEX allowing God to shape his testimony, or is he in some way using his pride to believe he is shaping his own story?
