99 APEX is a multi-talented artist who grew up a military and a pastor’s kid. This exposed him to many different cultures of people while being Christ-centered. He started creating music in his sophomore year of high school and pursued music throughout college. During his college years, he found himself elevating from recording music in small practice rooms to interning at Reach Records, and eventually collaborating with a-list artists such as Tommee Profitt (NF), Mac Powell (Third Day), Michael W. Smith, and many others. 99 APEX has leveraged the interest in his sound into many collaborations with others who trust in him to bring about the best results. He incorporates Hip Hop and Jazz with R&B vocal cadences, making his sound hype and laidback. With every release, 99 APEX has been
quickly building his repertoire and gaining momentum. Notable moments include charting at #23 on the iTunes charts and being nominated to become a Rapzilla Freshmen in 2023. 99 APEX has done quite a bit in such a short time while demonstrating resilience and humility.

Star Shining is an experimental song where 99 APEX proclaims his allegiance, dedication and need for God as his guidance in the wake of his recognition in music. He knows the further he gets in his career, the more temptation will present itself. Instead of assuming he has the power to stay upright alone, he chooses to cling onto God as his constant guidance and strength.

"HEAT" is the first song from 99 APEX's album 'Inner Exodus'. This song is used to put a time stamp on when he worked at FedEx and almost in a sense of pride, was being resilient and depending on his own strength. This song signifies the blurred lines of how our egos can get in the way God's plans. Is 99 APEX allowing God to shape his testimony, or is he in some way using his pride to believe he is shaping his own story?

"New" is a song where I'm crying out to God to rescue me from the constant pain of the world I endured as an African American man. I've always had to hold my emotions behind the curtains of my persona and this song is the first time I address all the pain I was holding inside due to unforgiveness. The grief in this song is how I chose to finally rid myself of bitterness and ask God to help me heal from the victimization I faced.

"Find A Way Freestyle" is dedicated to 99 APEX's cousin who passed away the day before it was recorded. 99 APEX sees this as his own heartfelt Psalm to the Lord about his current life situation and how he is wrestling with mourning.

As the turning point of the album "Inner Exodus," 99 APEX shares his motivation and understands the heavy call God has placed on him doing music. He addresses the opposition he faces from the world, the devil, and even himself as he pushes through the discouragement in his life.
