“Human First” was written out of exhaustion — the kind that comes from watching people tear each other apart over colors, slogans, and sides. The song begins in that noise, where hate is broadcast from every direction, but slowly turns its focus toward what’s real: the quiet goodness we still see every day.

It’s about walking through your neighborhood and realizing that the people we’re told to fear are the same ones holding the door, waving good morning, checking on their neighbors. It’s about seeing how far the headlines are from the truth of ordinary life.

In the lyrics, the narrator admits their own frustration — they’ve shouted too, they’ve been pulled into the fight — but each verse brings them closer to something simple and undeniable: that before we’re anything else, we’re human.

The song isn’t naïve. It doesn’t pretend things aren’t broken. It just refuses to believe that hate is stronger than the instinct to care for one another. “Human First” ends as a reminder — maybe a prayer — that if we can look past the labels, even for a moment, we might start to see ourselves again.

But we’re just getting started. 2024 is shaping up to be our most ambitious year yet. Our sixth album in six years, “The Human Animal,” dropped on August 16— twenty-five tracks that explore the full spectrum of the human experience. From our most awe-inspiring inventions to the darkest aspects of our nature, and the vast emotions we grapple with daily, this album delves into the essence of humanity, a theme that has always captivated us. This year also marks the release of our 90-minute animated punk rock musical, “(S)kids.” The project premiered with two sold-out screenings at the prestigious Annecy Animation Festival in France and is currently making its rounds on the film festival circuit. Fans can expect to see it in the coming months.

We’ve spent the last two years in the recording and animation studio, crafting our best work yet. We can’t wait to bring our new songs and animations to life on stage. Our Europe tour kicks off on September 26th in London, with more dates to be announced soon.
